- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My editing rates are based on the published editing industry standards. I routinely charge $3.00 to $9.00 per page, depending on the level of intensity of the work. My specialization is in copy editing, although I am glad to also do proofreading, line editing, content editing, or developmental editing. I adhere to the industry norm of counting 250 words to a page.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first concern is to listen well and hear the exact particulars of what my customer wants. Effective communication is the basis of building a positive, pleasing, and productive working relationship.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With two bachelor's degrees and a master's, I have extensive education in the analysis of literary works. Beyond formal education, I am naturally very detail-oriented. This attribute allows me to notice the small flaws in grammar, punctuation, capitalization, spacing, and other aspects of writing which other editors may overlook.
