FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer multi-student discounts, so if you have a spouse, child, other family member, co-worker, or friend who would like to participate you can save on the hourly rate. My students who are able to practice with someone else in the class often have more motivation and get to practice with other students in their class throughout the week! I also offer a discount if you are able to meet closer to my location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I initially meet with new students to discuss their goals for learning English or Spanish and get an idea of any experience with the target langague. I also offer a learning styles assessment to better understand students as a learner to better individualize the classes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an educator for over 12 years and have a lot of experience teaching both English and Spanish. I am cerified to teach Spanish from early learners through 12th grade with the state of Texas. I hold a Masters in psychology, which helps me in understanding my students in terms of cognitive development. I have also lived in other countries and know what it is like to live in a foreign country, as well as to learn another language. I also know a lot about American and Hispanic cultures, which ties in directly with learning langages.
