I can't even begin to describe how wonderful and awesome Barbara is! My wedding vow renewal ceremony and reception was so perfectly coordinated and everything went very smoothly and seamlessly. Barbara went above and beyond in executing my vision, she understood just what I wanted and her helpful suggestions really made a difference. Several times she came up with things I didn't even think of. I consider myself very nitpicky and also a bit of a control freak, but with Barbara, I never had to worry for a second. I could just relax and enjoy my day because I was in the best hands possible. The reception and ceremony area looked so elegant, I couldn't stop looking around in amazement and gratitude. Barbara is the coordinator you could only dream of. She is quick to respond (sometimes within minutes via email), and extremely organized. I had her as my day-of coordinator and she kept us on schedule and ran interference when need be! She was there for every request I had, and even came through with bug spray when I was getting bitten by mosquitos while taking photos outside. Now that's what I call being prepared. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do not have a standard pricing system because ever event is different and some people don't want as much help as others. My full service wedding planning rates range from $800-3,000. Party planning and Day-of Coordination rates start at $500.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?When working with new clients, the first thing I do is sit down with them and ask them to describe their ideas, likes, dislikes not only for their event, but for them as a person. I want to get to know I client on a personal level so I can create their event to reflect their personality and needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I am a 3rd generation party planner. I am just the first one to do it for a living. My family has entertained and organized events for as long as I can remember.
