The beginning of the process was great! The quote was very professional and communicating was quick and easy. We also received a color consultation to help us pick colors. However, when the painters arrived they didn't know which colors we had chosen. Luckily, I had taken a picture of the samples we picked. My understanding was there was supposed to be a project manager on-site for most of the project. I wasn't there the entire time, but I only saw him about halfway through the first day, for a few minutes. They did a good job of protecting the floors. The end result is good though. It's not perfect and I will eventually go back and fix a few things, but I'm not sure painting can ever be perfect. It was definitely worth paying someone to do the job, rather than do it myself. I don't like to write bad reviews but when you don't follow through and fail to communicate I feel a need to let others know so they don't waste their time like we did. Clint came out to our home to give us a estimate to paint our home. He said they could paint it this week. It is a week later and we have not heard from him. We sent him an email and no response. While looking for other painters on Thumbtack I get a response from Five Star Painting saying they were interested in doing the job. I explained that Clint had been out to our home and we had not heard from him. They said they would let the owner know and they would get us the estimate very soon. Needless to say it has been 3 days and no estimate. We wasted a week waiting for an estimate. If he didn't want to do it then step up and say that. Don't waste our time. Within a day we had estimates from 3 other companies and one has already started.Mar 25, 2018Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?When the estimator arrives, he/she will go over in detail what you would like to achieve. We then craft an estimate and go over in more detail how we will help them transform your space. Communication is extremely important. Once you decide to use Five Star Painting as your chosen contractor, we will have our office manager give you a call to get your project scheduled.
