- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?A starting package of 4 lessons for the price of 2 is available for new students only. Private lessons are $30 per half hour.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Solange Sior is a former winner of the Canadian Music Competition and winner of the National Bel Canto Competition, as well as finalist of The Metropolitan Opera National Council. A graduate with Bachelor and Masters degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of Montreal and a former apprentice with Lyric Opera Center for American Artists (Chicago), Miss Sior has performed with many organizations in the Midwest and in Canada including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Florentine Opera Company, Light Opera Works, Lincoln Opera, Chamber Opera Chicago, Chicago Concertante, Opera Viva, Concert Artists AB, New Music Chicago, Albany Symphony Orchestra, Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Elgin Choral Union, Northwest Chicago Symphony, Youth and Music Canada, Lyri-Quebec, and Lyri-Art. At the prestigious Shaker Mountain Music Festival she performed 3 years in a row and sang the lead roles of Marguerite (highly acclaimed!), Suor Angelica, and Manon. She sang Mimi in La Boheme at the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy. She has also performed the roles of Violetta, Musetta, Pamina, Fiordiligi, Monica, and the lead roles in Rose-Marie and The Incomplete Education by Chabrier. In 2007, Sior brought the house down in several performances of Madama Butterfly under the direction of Maestro Philip Morehead from the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Maestro Francesco Milioto, assistant director at Ravinia. Equally at home in Oratorio work and art songs, Miss Siors beautiful voice has been heard in Mozarts Requiem and Missa Brevis in B, the Faure Requiem, A Deutsch Requiem, Mahler # 4, Robert Hansons Hiawatha, the Messiah and several French melodie recitals and German lieder concerts, including recordings of Debussy and Richard Strauss for CBC Radio Canada. As a pianist, Solange holds a D.E.C. and Laureate Degrees from Montreals Vincent-dIndy Music School.

Mrs. Baker is the Marketing Director for the Elgin Symphony Orchestra - Gwen Gage (pianist), Board of Director of the Elgin Symphony Orchestra - Ronald Spriggs (baritone) Vocal Performance at Northern Illinois University - Katie Prom (pianist) studied piano as a kid with Mrs. Sior who prepared her for college. Katie now holds a Music Education degree from Northern Illinois University,and she is a music teacher at a local elementary school. - Tatiana Ranallo (soprano) studied classical vocal training with Solange Sior. In 2009 she won first place (Division I) in Elgin OPERA's Vocal Competition. She has performed with Chicago Chamber Opera, the Shedd Aquarium in their Fantasea show, the Lookingglass Theatre, the Goodman Theatre, the Cirque Du Soleil, Blue Man Group and The Flying Wallendas.
