The roof shingle were replaced due to hail damage. Harris Construction (Brian) was very easy to work with and he was open and upfront on what needed to be done. He even gave suggestions on how to improve attic ventilation in conjunction with the new roof, which we had a problem with on very hot days. The job was sub-contracted to another contractor which is not unheard of but i was not aware of in the beginning. The sub-contracted roofing company did a good job other than one flashing section over the front door. Brian quickly corrected the problem. I would use Harris Construction for other projects.

Update: 5/13/19 Still no refund. No actual date on when to expect it. No further communication regarding the matter. 5/3/19 - Don't send your father, be honest, respond to calls, emails, texts, voicemail messages. Send us a final invoice and give us the credit you owe us for the sub par work that was performed. We had to end our work relationship because the work was so bad and the employees barely showed up for work. Only have 2 full days of work in a month. Contacted Brian who said he would call his father who was over seeing the job and he never called back. It has been 3 weeks since we have seen or heard from anyone. Took a 60% deposit and ran with it ! And now we have to find someone else to do what the company promised they could do but did not deliver. They were supposed to use steel plates in the ceiling but used a piece of plywood and a cut off piece of 2X4. Worst experience i have ever had. I didn't have this money laying around to just give to someone with no end product to show for it!

Details: Complete room renovation • Bedroom • No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want • Residential

We or sorry of the misunderstanding, but our last conversation i told you i would pay back a 1000 dollars of the 2600 down you gave to my father when he started the jkb. to my understanding he said all that was left was window molding to put around the window and paint the job was 80 percent completed according to my father this was a small project i believe a total of 4600, my main concern was the length of time this took more so then you losing your down payment which i believe was more then 50 percent completed from what my father says, i did not know what took place during the time work was being done but i want to makw clear to people reading this nobody ran off with your money work was being done for the money that was paid. the pictures you portray of unfinished work could be misunderstood i dont know why work was allowed to be done without the floor being covered up. but i made the mistake of turning this contract over to my father he is 72 years old and had to depend on workers that were not dependable since the project was so small a contractor couldnt sub this out and make money. as far as the time frame our last conversation i said it would take sometime for me to pay the said amount back, waiting on a particular job to start to pay ghe 1000 dollars, i truly was just trying to help i thought this would help you and my father but this is a learning lesson for myself please be patient. your wife sent me a inbox saying you told her it was going to take me a little time to do this i offered that to you just to make it right you didnt ask for any money per our first conversation i initiated that so i will come up with a time frame to pay you part of your down payment back, till this day i havent seen the job to make a judgment on craftsmanship of work.
