- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's not so complicated but generally, I dont charge for an initial consult up front for my services except for when I'm re- creating a space. The consult for re- creating a space is much more detailed and last longer (typically 1-3 hrs depending on the project). The other services I provide are pretty much straight forward in terms of the job expectation. The initial consult for these jobs are not as long; but can last up to an hr. The hourly rate for each service varies.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always doing research, keeping up with the lastest trends and maintaining tried and true techniques.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My background is in Early Childhood Education. As an ECE consultant, I had the privilege of helping child care providers design their child care spaces for young children. I helped design several and enjoyed it immensely. It was fun and easy for me. I really liked that the children enjoyed their new space. The environment made it conducive to their learning.
