- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing for tuning up a computer and cleaning off any virus infections is a range. When we get a computer, we have no way of knowing what kind of shape it is in. Problems can pop up throughout the cleaning process. So the more severe the infection, the more expensive it is since it requires more effort to clean. However, we set a reasonable 'upper limit' for machines that are completely corrupted and require a complete data backup and reinstall of Windows.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Cleaning off virus/malware infections are the most common (plus we do a full tuneup to make reinfection less likely). We repair a lot of laptops - mainly power jack, keyboard, and screen replacements.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find out what you're getting for your money. Are they doing the minimum amount of work or will they make sure your computer is completely repaired and tested before returning it to you? How many scans do they run? Will you get a detailed service report outlining all that was done?
