We hired this firm because of the recommendations of his previous customers. Nobody we talked to had a bad word to say about them. Small firm, but very responsive to our requests. Worth waiting for, ( which we did, for two months, cause he is in demand). We were looking for somebody who understood the Schluter system for waterproof showers and bathrooms. Jake,s name was the first one, and usually the only name, mentioned.
The only reason we rated 4 stars on timeliness was we went over our timeline, but that was our fault mostly. Jake just took our custom requests and worked them into the schedule as best he could. Same thing with value, he certainly was not the least expensive, but all said and done, nobody would have given us the custom project we received for less.
Would not have done it with anybody else!

We have had Jake Lydick do couple different jobs for us at our house. We have been very Happy with his work everytime. He replaced all the doors in our house. They look beautiful and open and close so quietly, which is exactly what we wanted now that we have two young kids. He built our deck just the way we wanted it and got it done quickly just in time for a party we were having! This past summer we just had him stain our deck and it looks great! In the next week he is going to fix our bathroom shower enclosure which we have no doubt will look great as well. We highly recommend Jake Lydick. He does awesome work, communicated with us exactly what he was doing when he was doing it and felt very comfortable having him in our house when we were not able to be there.

Jake did most of the remodeling of my bathroom while working with Patete. This included covering the old tub & walls with a one piece unit, replacing the sink and vanity, lighting, and tearing out a wall to add a pocket door to enlarge the room. Then he replastered the new wall. Noticing how well Jake did with the woodworking in the room, we subcontracted him to replace the cheap floor moulding and doors throughout the house--1st and 2nd floors. He did an excellent job, especially matching the color of the stain to other existing wood in the home.
He keeps his word and is on time-- a rare commodity with independent contractors. I would recommend Jake and his work to anyone, and would use him again myself.
