Ju Bushido Issinryu Self-defense and Martial Arts

Introduction: Eric Klein has been studying and teaching martial arts/self-defense classes since 1973. As a 7th degree black belter in traditional Isshinryu, Master Klein has over 50 first place tournament awards in kata (forms), kumite (fighting) and kpbudo (weapons). In 1983, he became the first person to win 10 consecutive grand championships in Black Belt Full Contact Competition for the USKA/AKA Midwest Region. Eric is also the founder of the style Ju Bushido Isshinryu which combines Isshinryu's Okinawan technique with its Chinese roots and Chi Kung (energy work) to create Ju Bushido or gentle martial way. The style has been conferred as a legitimate style by the World Martial Arts Association and United States Martial Arts Association which has granted him the titles of Soke (founder), Dai Shihan (grand master) and the rank of 10th degree black belt. He is an inductee into the US Martial Arts International Board of Masters. Eric has taught hand-to-hand combat to armed forces troops, anti-bullying classes/seminars, rape protection (you can't prevent someone's intent on attacking, but you can protect yourself from the attack), senior citizen (teaching how to use canes, walkers and home objects as defense weapons, and teaching that age and slowing down doesn't have to reduce one's ability to protect themselves) workshops as well as traditional Isshinryu and Ju Bushido Isshinryu. Master Klein had the great honor of receiving his 6th degree black belt certificate, Shihan - Renshi certificate (Shihan, master/master teacher and Renshi, one who has mastered himself") and 7th degree black belt and Kiyoshi (one who has moved beyond the rest) certificate from the Grand Master in Okinawa.
