- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do have standard flat rate pricing for move-out, move in, deep cleans, and regular customers if a full service is needed. The flat rate price is based on a maximum of 7 hours. If the job still needs more work after a team of 2 has spent 7 hours, we charge an additional fee $50 per hour. We do offer itemized services for those who only want a few things done or need carpet cleaning with a minimum service charge of $100. We offer carpet shampooing for $40 per room/stairs, and $20 per hallway.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background is education. I have an elementary education bachelors degree. I was a teacher here in Hawaii for five years before leaving to start cleaning with my husband. My husband was a sushi chef before we started this job. We were cleaning vacation rentals as a side job for extra money then decided to expand and offer more services. After a couple months of offering more services we both needed to leave our full time jobs to solely work in cleaning. I believe that cleaning after children all day as my 10 years of teaching helped prepare me for the physical side of cleaning for a living. I think my husbands experience as a sushi chef for many years gives him and eye for detail.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My husband and I were cleaning vacation rentals as a side job to supplement our full time jobs. I was an elementary school teacher and he was a sushi chef.
