- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Maria has 17 years of experience in house cleaning and worked in high-end hotels as a housekeeper before that. Her daughter, Jackie, has learned everything about house cleaning from her mother with 6 years of experience.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We’ve worked with a variety of different clients: • Big and small wineries in Healdsburg, the heart of wine country, as well as in Sebastopol. • Office buildings for our architect and lawyer clients. • AirBnB homes for clients staying in them as well as for clients that own AirBnB homes. • Elderly clients who need a bit of extra help around the house. • Clients with children as well as pets. Just a small list of the variety of clients we have had over the years and everything in between.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I would definitely say that the most fulfilling part of our job is knowing that every part, including all crevices and corners, of each client’s home is left feeling fresh with cleaner air and surroundings as well as easier to live in. One project we did recently that we were very fond of was a deep cleaning of a 2bed 1bath home. We took about 7 hours cleaning because it had been many years since it had been cleaned last. There was dust, dirt, and even rat excrement all over the house. Even though it was a long day that day, we had just as much energy when we left as we did when we had started. After doing a walk-through of the house, our client looked at us and said something we will never forget. He said, “ you guys are really changing lives one house at a time.” We realized that what we do isn’t just a job, but an opportunity each day, to help people.
