Introduction: I have been playing music for 40 years and teaching for over 20 years. I'm classically trained on piano and saxophone as well as jazz studies. I perform in many settings and genres including classical, jazz, rock, r&b, reggae, country, Latin Jazz, choir and vocal chamber ensemble, symphonic band, wind ensemble I love helping students make personal connections with music and sharing my experiences and passion for music.

I decided to pursue music earnestly when I was recognized as a California State Arts Scholar in 1988. I found great encouragement then.
