FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been passionate about organizing. I am a natural born planner who is obsessed with checklists and containers. Its a sickness I know, but what can I say. Before becoming a professional organizer, I spent 14 years in the corporate and educational sectors, serving in both administrative and customer support capacities; all of which require a strong organizational skill set. After some soul-searching, I finally realized that my purpose is to help others lead more organized and productive lives.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The advice I would give a client seeking professional organizing services is to look for someone who is diplomatic, empathetic, non-judgmental, creative, trustworthy, professional, and sets high standards for quality customer service.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What I wish clients knew about my profession is that although some people view professional organizing as a luxury service, it in fact, is a necessity. Think about a personal trainer or life coach. They provide a service for the overall well being of a person. That is exactly what a professional organizer does. We don't just help you clear out clutter, organizer stuff, and make a space look nice. We motivate, guide, coach, inspire, and help you create new habits that lead to life-style changes. When your life in not in balance, many things suffer. Always invest in your health and happiness!
