FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Included free with any personal training or triathlon/run coaching is a goal-setting and assessment session. For personal training, I charge a flat rate per session. I have 1/2 hour and full hour times available. For endurance (triathlon/run) coaching, I have a monthly fee which includes at least 1 one-on-one coaching session, as well as weekly feedback and a daily training plan, which I update weekly. Coaching also includes a video analysis of your run gait and/or swim stroke. If an athlete wants run gait or swim stroke analysis only, pricing is a one-time fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I start out asking a new client lots of questions, and then sit back and listen. I try to understand their background, perspective, and relationship to health and fitness (which isn’t always good!) I find out their goals, then do an initial assessment to determine a starting point. We take measurements and film if appropriate, to give us a good initial baseline. From there we put our game plan in place and go to work!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have to keep up my USA Triathlon and USA Track and Field Coaching certification as well as my NASM Personal Training certification by gaining CEU's of various kinds. I've attended swim clinics, coaching seminars, nutritional lectures, etc. to help me keep up to date with what's new in the field of fitness.
