FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on a number of variables; however my pricing is very reasonable for the quality of instruction and the depth of experience and knowledge that I bring. An expert instructor who knows how to inspire a student to succeed brings a great deal of value to the situation by understanding a student's educational needs and maximizing the achievement of that student over time. Whereas, much time and money can be wasted on an inferior instructor who, although cheaper, may lead to slower progress, or frustration on the part of the student.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will be happy to answer your questions over the phone. On a first visit, I like to get to know the student's interests, goals, and background as well as what they would like to achieve through their music study. For children, parents can often give insight into the child's learning style and ways to motivate their child. Communication is key to a good start as well as a continued positive relationship and finding ways to support a music student's progress through out their course of study.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I possess a bachelors degree and a masters degree in music education as well as an additional masters degree related to education. I have also performed as a professional musician throughout my adult life.
