R&R Plumbing Services Inc.
Saturday morning, and the discovery of a water heater going south... never a good way to start a weekend. But by 4pm the same day, problem solved! First I stumbled onto Thumbtack, which I'd never heard of before. And once I submitted my request, in flowed responses from five local Service Companies. Of the five, R&R caught my interest because they took the time to ask for specifics. They texted for more detailed information and a photo of my water heater. After sending that, they provided a competitive quote, identified the brand of water heater they recommend and install, and said they could have it installed same day! All of this communication happened in 30 minutes. Awesome! By mid-afternoon, Ryan showed up, assessed the situation and explained, in detail, the process he would go through and how long it would take. When he finished up, he explained the operation of the new unit, buttoned everything up, and hauled off the old heater. Just an awesome experience from my standpoint! I can't praise the whole operation enough! Thank you R&R, and thank you Ryan!Apr 9, 2017VerifiedRyan R.'s reply
Thank you for the review Timothy! We ask for more information and a picture because we want to give an accurate quote. A lot of companies will either give a low price to get their foot in the door, and then raise the price when they get there, or give a high price that will cover the cost of the job no matter what. We are one of the last honest plumbing companies out, and we always will be! Thanks again!

Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We base our pricing on flat rates. Hourly rate contractors tend to be slower to try to raise the total cost of service. We charge competitive/fair pricing and do so on multiple jobs per day. This is how we stay busy, and make decent money, by charging fair prices, to 5 or more customers a day. We make our money in volume not by overcharging and inflating bills.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1. Diagnose the problem. 2. Give a quote based on diagnosis. 3. Perform work. 4. Collect payment and earn another customer for life!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have done every type of plumbing from custom homes, to hotels, to restaurants, to small repair jobs.
