This was a fast and easy experience. Two overhead lights were installed and 3 outlet upgrades within my house.Sep 23, 2018Verified
I provided a factual review to ThumbTack after Jim quit the project today after I asked for clarification of invoice and parts receipts. Very disappointing in my opinionSep 23, 2017VerifiedJames L.'s reply
All agreed work was completed. She refused to pay for one day's work. Parts come from many sources and I do not give a detailed list of parts prices. I do not mark-up part prices. She misrepresents the truth of the entire matter. By her own admission, she does not have the funds to pay me or for future projects.
I had multiple scorched outlets & a few other electrical problems. Mr. Lundeen came prepared with all he needed and explained what & why he was doing as he went. He was very friendly & professional at all times. He didn't even mind my dog trying to "help"! Thank you, Mr. Lundeen, and I will be calling you again for future help.Jan 2, 2017Verified
I hired Jim to finish my basement, to do everything except trim work, painting, and carpeting. I had lowes install the carpet, I did the trim myself, and hired someone to paint with me to save some money. Jim did all the electric work, installing breakers, outlets, lights, all wire work. He was very professional and did excellent work. He had Bill, who did all the framing, drywall, sanding/mudding, tile work in the bathroom, install vanity, toilet, all doors. When i started priming the walls, i noticed some imperfections on the finishing work Bill did. I told Jim and Bill came the next day to fix any issues that were there. They were very aggressive giving me a great price on labor. They gave me a list of what materials were needed and i used a new lowes card to get 10% off everything. I could've had them get everything but I was trying to keep my costs down as low as possible. It's a little bit of work but if u don't mind doing the extras like that, it's worth the scratch. Other than them taking a little longer to finish then originally told (what contractor finishes on time anyway), they did a great job. I would definitely hire them again.Jun 2, 2017Verified
What can I say....Jim's work is simply Impeccable!! On day one Jim came over to analyze our situation. We came up with a multi phased plan which is approx 75% complete. The project entailed (1) creating a bridge between old panel and the new panel, eliminating failing breakers and upgrading to new ones in the new panel (2) Used existing 120V line to power the new sub panel in the garage which feeds all the new electric into our gutted kitchen (3) Consulted with us on upgrading to new switches and outlets (LED, USB, Three Way, Dimmers) (4) Assisted in running new 120V to power new stove (5) Eliminated all old Knob and Tube and replacing with new romex wired (6) Three way switch in kitchen and garage. Jim is timely and keeps on schedule....A pleasure to work with!May 8, 2017Verified
