Introduction: People take pride in their homes. I take pride in my home. So, I can relate to some of peoples concerns and possible anxieties. It can be disruptive to have construction in your home. You're spending your hard earned money to improve your home. I appreciate all of those things. I take pride in what I do. Whether its a small handyman job, an addition or a remodel. I take the time to do things right. Important things to me are honesty, reliability, communication and cleanliness. To me, the job hasn't been done right if the homeowners house is left dirty due to my services. I give you and your property the respect that they deserve. I think that my respect for homes and homeowners can be seen in how I approach a job from beginning to end. I believe this is what separates me from the others. I love a space that looks better when I leave than when I showed up. I love doing different things all the time. I love tools. I love houses. I love construction.

I gave shanker a quote. Shanker wasn't satisfied with the quote. he wanted additional work for free. I declined. He requested that I add the work to the quote and resubmit along with other corrections/additions. I didn't furnish this new quote quick enough for shanker. He began to harass me. I backed out of the job. Seems like an unfair review to me.

We couldn't be happier with the work by Soderquist Construction. Hired them first to build portico over front door. We were so impressed with quality of work (especially given their quote was the lowest we got!) we immediately contracted them for a small addition/bump out to create a mud room at our back entry. Best decision we could have made- We told Derek what we were looking for and he took it from there, making suggestions to both save costs and improve details on our initial plans. Job was completed on time and we have been loving it (and getting huge compliments from the neighbors!) ever since. Again, cost was very reasonable and Soderquist Construction once again exceeded our expectations with attention to detail and professionalism. I will definitely be hiring them again!

Soderquist Construction helped to renovate my 85 year old mom's Condo. This was a first move from her home of almost 50 years, so you can imagine it was anxiety provoking for her. Derek assisted with managing all the components of the job from coordination of plumbing and electrical down to product selection. Derek even took my mom shopping to assist her in tile selection! His calm demeanor and ability to multi-task really was remarkable. I have the highest regard for his work ethic and execution not to mention his exceptional craftsmanship. Ever single vendor - granite, plumbing and electrical noted what an extraordinary project manager, contractor and professional he was. I highly recommend his work - but it's his character that will ensure a remarkable job that will impress you every single time.

Really professional and efficient. Fair prices too. Got the jobs done within estimated time frame. I was so happy with the kitchen renovation I rehired him to renovate our two bathrooms too! Would definitely hire him again.

I have an hourly rate or I can give you a fixed price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's never typical. People are different. I give a price based on the information available but I almost always verify the info with a site visit. Then i'll give the customer a formal estimate and make them aware of potential add ons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been reading blueprints since I was a child. I've been around or working in construction for most, if not all, of my life.
