- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process for working with new customers begins with discovering their needs, and then determining--not whether or not we can meet these needs, but rather by identifying the best options for yielding a desired, mutual success that is sure to be realized upon fulfilling such needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mr. Patrick McMillan has more than 15 years of experience providing tutoring services. At present, he primarily uses the explicit and tacit knowledge that he possesses to support the 8 tutors who are currently contracted to service the students and/or families of Prep by PAT. Currently, Patrick serves as a middle and high school math and science instructional coach and curriculum specialist at a local, Pre-K through 12 public charter school, while also serving as a member of the mathematics adjunct faculty of a large local-area college. Mr. McMillan has operated two popular tutoring business units of Sylvan Learning Center and Club Z In-home Tutoring. He has worked for College Board (the makers of the SAT), Tutor Doctor, National Academic Educational Partners, and Educational Development Associates (or Acaletics). Also, Mr. McMillan is a former classroom teacher of mathematics who has facilitated instruction for every math subject there is available to grade-school students, which includes Advanced Placement Calculus and Advanced Placement Statistics. Mr. McMillan also holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and a master of science degree in business administration (MBA).
