- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
On our first private session, I start with a 20 free interview over the phone or in person to give to you a chance to ask questions and see if reiki or hypnotherapy is a good fit for you. If so, then I start asking you very specific questions that allow us to focus down on the relevant issues that are needing attention. Then I will suggest what I believe is the best thing to start with. The clients is totally in charge of their intentions and decisions during any and all process.

Practiced as massage therapist for years 1986-1990 Studied rebirthing with Leonard Orr. Also studied with Louisa Schillacci, a famous rebirther from Los Angeles CA., and a personal friend with Sandra Ray and Louise Hay 1988-1990 Was introduced and trained in Re-creation Therapy, under water rebirthing process in warm ponds for birth trauma which was developed by Bill and Marilyn Rodgers 1987-1990 Studied Tibetian Buddism with Lama Tensin of Maui. Participated in many weekend workshops and retreats with his direction 1989-1992 Participated in 3-10 day Vipassana Silent Meditation at Wood Valley Temple, Big Island. Meditation is based on teachings of the original Siddhartha Gothima Buddha. Silent meditation is 12 hours a day for ten days. Teaches the path of equanimity. No speaking, reading or leaving facility is allowed for safety to help with process of internal healing. 1991-1992 Took a very special one week training in all the step for a true spiritual Lakota Sweat lodge from the grandson of Black Elk. Taken through every step and explanation of reasons for each step of building a lodge. Also studied another native American spiritual sweat lodge building, medicine Sheild Making and Vision Quest with Little Moon Medicine Wind. Taught these skills in Canada and Hawaii at many retreats for over 20 years. 1990-1994 Began four year apprenticeship with elders (Kumu, Kahu, and Kahunas) on Big Island. Studied Ancient Hawaiian Healing arts and was organizer (all prep, etc) for over 5 , 10-15 day retreats. Studied Hawaiian healing art called "Huna Kane" (inner knowing of higher self) in depth. Received recognition as expert therapist in 1994. Took practice to Manitoba, Canada and over the next 4 years build a practice of hundreds of people and trained over twenty Huna Kane practitioners. 1992-94 Two year apprenticeship in Transformational Hypnotherapy in Winnipeg MB with John Tozeland Licensed as Nuero-Linguistic Programing and Clinical Hypnotherapist Time Line therapy Master practitioner Experience: Practiced as a massage therapists for over 20 years Owned a small business that was focused on personal behavior changing processes in Hilo for over ten years. Given a grant to teach displaced single women with children coping skills needed to find a job Owned a women's fitness center and taught classes for women with issues but wanting to loose weight Owned a small college planning company and helped many parents find funding for their children's college education LIFE CHANGING EVENTS: Travelled overland around the world through Europe, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Thailand, Phillipines in 1976 for one year. Sailed on 28 foot sloop from Panama to Galapagos then on to the Marquesas, Tuamotus and Tahiti 1979-1982 Owns 5 acres of land on Big Island where she raised two children 1986-present During her career she has offered : Private sessions of one to three hours to individuals and couples Workshops and focus groups that included: Skill building in communication Emotional issues Inventory of negative belief systems Resolution of pressing problems within home Women's groups for support for women who were living in or recently left an abusive environment Taught classes in: modeling for young teens self esteem workshops health and nutrition and weight-loss classes and workout training planning for success and job search habit changing single mom skills with dealing with difficult child behaviors Mentored over 20 students over a two year period to teach similar classes and do private sessions Held large retreats on Big Island of 30 or more people for weekend workshops to 3 week intensive In Hilo, many of Nicolette's private sessions were with individuals coming out of violent relationships. Nicolette enabled them to make the changes needed to live a happier life and stop the cycle they have found themselves in. Many were able to resolve issues from the way they were raised and change bad habits into a new way to deal with their everyday life that was more in balance. They were enabled to create more stability in their home for children and spouses. Developed a 300 page manual of processes to use in group and in private sessions with clients. Created a couples training workshop where couples would learn priority setting, family mission statement building, non violent communication models, parts conflict resolution to name a few. She would help them deal with deep seated roots of conflict and help make huge changes in behavior patterns. Group communication skill set training for a client's enhanced their ability to resolve issues without using worn out negative patterns which used to revert to angry outbursts or aggression. Compiled processes from many sources such as (example) Steven Covey's book, "10 Habits of Highly Effective People" Trained in Hawaiian Healing arts with many specialists in their field in Hilo, Hawaii.
