FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge by the recorded minute. That way there are no surprises. In order to receive an accurate quote we need the following information: How many minutes is your recording? How many speakers? How many speakers do not have English as their first language? How was it recorded (professionally or with some background noise). Will three to five business days be an adequate turnaround or do you need a rush - if so, when do you need it? Videographers - do you need time codes? There is no additional charge for including uhs, uhms, or st-stutters. There is also no additional charge if you need background noises noted.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A lot of transcriptionists do this as a hobby or second job. Transcription IS our business and we take pride in our work. Jackie (owner) has over 10 years experience as a transcription company owner/supervisor prior to starting this company and many of our transcriptionists have been with her for years.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Other companies may say they can get your project done more quickly but if it is a one-person shop and they get the flu, what will happen to your project? Since we have multiple transcriptionists in various areas of the country, we are able to take pride in producing accurate transcripts in a timely manner.
