Introduction: While rooted in healthy technique, my teaching is very student-centered. I work hard to cater each lesson to my student's unique voices, interests, and goals. I enjoy enabling my students to sing more freely and comfortably, helping them find exercises and mental cues that work for them. I was impressed by her knowledge and how well she could explain the exercises which I think are difficult to explain. With her teachings, I knew quite well how and what exercises I needed to practice. She also uses the piano with the training which I thought was awesome because it helped so much with the training of understanding vocal pitches. Even after my first lesson, I learned so much about how to use and maintain my vocals. It goes with-out say she's professional and friendly, absolutely great to work with. I can recommend both kids and adults looking to improve their singing capabilities.

Camille is very professional and patient. I am a seasoned professional vocalist looking to expand my classical/soprano range and she helped me with techniques to strengthen my soprano placement. She's wonderful and sweet! Highly recommended!

Camille is Awesome! From the initial search, she replied very quickly. Upon our first meet and greet; she was very open, honest and easy to talk to. I immediately got the sense that she genuinely enjoys singing and teaching, and that she cares about her students, their goals, and achieving those goals. I brought a CD of music with vocal techniques that I would like to be able to do and recordings of myself, so she would know what she was in for. She took the job anyway. She is very supportive and encouraging, and I have already seen (heard) vast improvement in my vocals after 4 weeks. (I practice constantly while driving) I still have a ways to go but I'm really looking forward to future lessons and learning what I can actually achieve. You won't be disappointed once you start tutelage in the Van Niekerk Vocal Studio.
