We wanted to replace the vinyl flooring in our kitchen and breakfast room with something different. I was thinking along the lines of stained concrete with a sealer. Jason suggested doing a penny floor with a poured polymer finish. It turned out great and became a conversation piece whenever we had company. It was easy to maintain (just vinegar and water to clean it) and greatly added to the ability to sell our house when we relocated. The first picture shows the floor before the polymer went down. It has a lovely deep shine to it but is not in the least slippery.
