Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have a knack for putting subjects at ease so each photo has a candor that is not easily achieved. I love getting to go to a wide-variety of events and interact with individuals that I would not have met otherwise. There is a real challenge in events photography as it requires the photographer to be quick on her feet and problem solve in an instant. Most likely it is because of my sporting background, but I thrive in these kinds of environments.

O'Hara has shared her talents by photographing various YWCA Alaska events. Beyond her excellent technical photography skills, she is able to create a special dynamic between herself and whomever she photographs so that she is able to genuinely capture them in that moment. I've witnessed her making even the shyest of subjects laugh out loud and always by the end of the shoot, everyone is smiling. She is efficient and effective, and manages to produce high-quality photos even in venues with difficult lighting or limited space. She is able to capture expressions, distinct feelings, and memorable moments that we often miss with the naked eye. O'Hara is a pleasure to work with; she is professional, highly dependable, and very personable. She is an asset to the YWCA and I would highly recommend her for any kind of photography needs.

Ohara's photos were a huge asset to the marketing efforts of the event. She worked with a dozen models and created photos that showcased each model's personality in a fun, classy, way while staying true to the intent of the project. Fast and professional!

FAQs

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

In this day and age, everyone has a camera. This of course means that everyone thinks that a camera equals photographic success. This is not the case. A professional photographer has the equipment and the skill to capture the quiet moments, the chaotic moments and the posed moments. While an amateur may get one or two wonderful images, the pro will get 30-40, minimum.
