The photographer got lost on their way to the location, was a half hour late, and the camera stopped taking pictures a half hour into the session. I asked for mostly candid shots of the kids and dogs but got mostly posed pictures. When I indicated my displeasure and asked them to be fair considering the circumstances, they gave me the lesser expensive package ($400 and 10 pictures vs. $500 and the entire album) but the pictures I got were definitely not worth the money.

Very professional. The photographs turned out absolutely beautiful. The price for the session is quite competitive. I will be calling blue iris photography for my future photo sessions!

    About this pro

I am an architect and my wife is a nurse. We both have been doing photography on the side for many years and are trained in skilled photography. I am also trained in editing so i can make even a "so-so" photo into a work of art. Every photo we hand a couple has been throughly looked at and critiqued before handing over to the client. We both love getting to meet new people and places. We also love seeing what kind of art we can produce! We even amaze ourselves sometimes with what we can come up with when we sit down with the raw images. We just love what we do and will continue doing it till we stop loving it.

      Q & A

      • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My main job is an architect, so yes we have the latest and greatest editing software, always keep up with canon's website as well since we use canon equipment exclusivly.
      • What types of customers have you worked with?
Here recently we have done many newborn baby shoots. I guess we just have a lot of pregnant friends here in Alaska! Summer is coming though and we have a few weddings planned.
      • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check out all of the competition and pricing. You sometimes get what you pay for, other times you get robbed for the amount of time and quality of images you receive.
Coverage Area for Blue Iris Photography is about 150+ miles of Anchorage, AK.
