FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. Pricing is available on the web page for Frozen Music Productions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial phone call or e-mail. Trial lesson scheduled, if desired. I charge for all trial lessons. For new adults, I recommend 3-4 once-a-week lessons. Children are registered for a semester. For children under the age of six, or, if requested by a parent, I offer a 45-minute lesson/consult with both the child and the parent. I interview both the child and the parent and work with the child for 25-30 minutes. This 45-minute session is offered for one time at the rate of a 30-minute lesson. After deciding if we all want to work together (and I have a high rate of success with children and adults of all ages), lessons are scheduled and payment contracts are signed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played the piano all of my life, starting at the age of five. I have a Master's degree in music composition from the New England Conservatory of Music. I have taught private piano and composition lessons for over thirty years. I am a seasoned performer, both as a pianist and a vocalist. My compositions have been performed in Boston, New York, and in Anchorage. I have recorded and worked as a producer, arranger, mixer and performer in recording studios in Anchorage and New York.
