I moved to a new city, completely out of my element & comfort zone. The only comfort I knew was running! I found the local running club & instantly felt welcomed & accepted. My personal experience with Mario was that I came from a town where I could walk any & everywhere I ever needed/wanted to be... In moving to fayetteville my husband & I shared a vehicle, more often than not leaving me stranded! Mario went above & beyond everyday to pick me up & take me to our meetups, so I could keep some sanity in my new & somewhat wild world. He was always there when he said he would be... Not only for me, but all the other runners that relied upon him -- wether it be motivation, support, advice or just a friend to chat with, Mario was always there! The most admiral thing that I witnessed from Mario was the most patience & selfless runner I have yet to meet! No matter the pace or person he was always bringing up the rear, motivating & encouraging the last of the pack! And you runners out there must know how hard it is sometimes to slow your pace for anything!!! Mario is a committed, caring, reliable & all around awesome guy... That I luckily had the pleasure of getting to know!

Mario Barber was an integral part of our running club. He went out of his way to help many people. He showed up early and stayed late to most events for the club. He motivated many people to do better. He always had positive feedback. He always wore a smile. He has good leadership skills, helping to push others toward their goals. I would recommend Mario for anything he strives to achieve, because he will always be successful in all he does. He has been a positive influence in my life.
