Ana is an amazing tutor. She has helped my daughter's tremendously in Algebra, Precalculus, and Chemistry. She's professional, the girls love her, and she makes the work very easy to understand. She's also very reliable and trustworthy. I have referred multiple friends to her and they have all been happy with her service. I highly recommend Ana!

Ana was recommended to us by a friend who uses Ana to tutor her two daughters. After the first hour of Ana tutoring my 7th grade son, it was clear we made the right decision. My son's Algebra I teacher cannot teach everything she needs to in her 50 minute class so Ana fills in the missing pieces and gives my son the necessary tools and feedback he needs to succeed. His math grades improved and he feels confident moving forward to his next math class in 8th grade. Ana is a pleasure to work with. Her open communication and availability are outstanding.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge depending on the subject (college Calculus tutoring is more expensive than 5th grade math tutoring). Distance traveled also impacts the cost of your sessions. My regular students are located in Homewood, Mountain Brook & Hoover, but I have worked with students in Pelham and Leeds.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I worked for 6 years as a high school Science/Math teacher and for a year teaching the Thermodynamics Lab for Chemical Engineering students. I have a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started tutoring my peers in high school and started teaching part time while I went to grad school.
