FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, we are registered with our suppliers and their manufacturers. They keep us informed of new products and standards concerning their products. We also participate in research and development of better products and standards for the construction products we use, and there are training classes and seminars required to stay in good standing as a certified installer with the manufacturers who offer warranties on their products. Any home improvement and/or construction product that does not have proper installation voids the warranty of the product, so training is a must.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was inherited, i.e., I wanted to be like my grandfathers, both of them were carpenters. I learned to love to work with my hands and make things as perfect as possible. Not all carpenters are good at remodeling because it takes a keen eye, an experienced mind, and a desire to get it just right when replacing or improving anything in a home. There is a lot more to consider and deal with when remodeling.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We do a lot of exterior remodeling due to the use of inferior or improper workmanship that causes damage relatively quickly due to the infiltration of pests, and water. We do a lot of siding, vinyl and fiber cement. We are a certified James Hardie installation company and we were the first certified vinyl siding company in Alabama. We also do many replacement windows and doors. We are one of the very few companies that offer various maintenance plans that will keep a home clean and maintained for minimal cost year after year. Ask us about a maintenance plan that will save you unexpected repair or maintenance expense year after year.
