I hired Jason Hooper to paint the exterior of my historical home in downtown Florence. Jason did a great job for me. The job itself was large and the finished result is beautiful. Jason was prompt, diligent, and attentive to detail. He is a professional craftsman with high standards, a good work ethic and perseverance. He painted the trim as well as the body of the home and this was no easy task. Not everyone claiming to be a painter actually IS a painter. JASON IS. He is not afraid to work hard and he works smart. I was so pleased with the transformation that my home undertook solely because of the painting and am thrilled with the result. I contacted Custom Color to price repainting of my cabinets in my kitchen. Jason was out the following day and quoted me a price w/materials included. CCP was not the only estimate I got, nor were they the lowest. What sold me on them was the pictures of previous cabinet projects and their availability. I told Jason I wanted the job done right, bottom line. I went from a dark stain to a off white oil base paint. From the beginning the cabinets were oil primed, sanded, dusted & tack clothed. Then 1st coated, sanded, dusted then tack clothed. Finally the finish coat was applied. Nothing but the best materials were used and it showed. Jason is an excellent painter & Custom Color Painting LLC should be your next choice to tackle that painting project you have. I highly recommend them. Tracey W.

Jason Hooper painted most of the interior in my townhouse a few years ago. He is very talented and knows what he is doing. He is very polite and has a great work ethic. He puts a lot of thought into every detail, from the price to the finished product. I referred him to paint the outside of my grandmother's house and she was very pleased. Jason has not only painted rooms in my house but he painted a 10, 000 sq ft building that I built in Gardendale. The building is extremely modern with open ceilings and exposed duct work. He and painted all of the ceilings as well as the entire inside which had intricate architectural layout. The end result was absolutely beautiful. He pays specific attention to detail and color perfection. I consider Jason to be more than just a painter....he is an artist! He is extremely intelligent and very meticulous. He has great insight to design and pleasing his clients. If you are looking for a hard worker with a lot of experience, I would highly recommend you trust Jason!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We typically price based on square footage as the market commands. Cheapest is not always best. We price based on degree of difficulty involved and price of materials used.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Addressing the wants and absolute must haves. We assist in color selection if necessary, determine the product to be used and get a time frame for completion. Anything the homeowner wants to have done up front in order to reduce "extras" at the end of the job.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I literally grew up in the business. My uncle was a small business owner and I worked for him cleaning brushes at age 15. From then on, even through college, every summer I was painting houses. Before I knew it life happened and here I am today, a small business owner myself. I love working with homeowners to complete their projects.
