FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The design and planning phase of any project is, in our view, most critical. Compensation will be discussed upon completion of planning and design for new and edible retrofits, and initial site visit, for more standard maintenance related projects. At Edible landscapes we do however incorporate multiple permaculture techniques, which essentially set your landscape up for success by recreating already naturally occurring processes. We've discovered the majority of these techniques help reduce long-term recurring maintenance costs, as well as minimizing initial investment by utilizing what we can from your existing property by way of grass clippings/ yard "waste"!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Feel free to give us a call to begin the process so we can start to assess possibilities for your landscape immediately. By getting a bird's eye view of your property we are able to begin to get a better idea of potential challenges and possibilities, saving everyone time and resources. After your scheduled walkaround with one of our experts, we develop a plan and execute.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team has spent the past 15 years studying traditional and ancient ways of sustainable food production. Together with 20+years of lawn maintenance and design experience, and centuries old sustainable gardening techniques; Edible Landscapes brings a unique perspective to the landscaping industry.
