ASAP House Cleaning was great! I've used other cleaning services in the past that just had a list of "things to do" but they actually listened and personalized their service for me. I actually booked before but I had to cancel on short notice but they were nice enough to reschedule and work on their off day. I would definitely recommend their service and am planning to have regular cleanings with them. :-)

I have rental properties and unfortunately when tenants move sometimes the place is left in a huge mess. I have used many different cleaning services but TNT is by far the best I have used. A professional approach that left me completely satisfied. I would recommend their service to anyone.

I had to have a complete AC central system replaced. I got a good quote and timetable from them. They came out, took the old system out, installed the new system, and some of the nicest and honest people I've dealt with in my many years. I am retired now and on a fixed budget but they made things work and I'm having them come out again for duct work cleaning and sanitation of the interior of that duct work. They will be my annual team to work on mine and friend's of mine who need good and cost meeting needs. I am very pleased and I've had many an AC company come out in different houses over the years. These are good people.

Our kitchen sink backed up on a weekend. I submitted a Thumbtack plumber request at 11:00pm on a Sunday evening and by 7:30am on Monday, Sam Cook responded that was available. He immediately came to the house and fixed the problem by 9:30am. Very responsive, professional, friendly and reasonably priced for the difficulty of the job. I now have Sam in my contacts for future plumbing needs.

Miguel was awesome. His prices are so reasonable and his availability was great. He was there the next day and did a great job painting our kitchen. He even caulked a hole in the wall and swept and cleaned the floor under the freezer before moving it back. I highly recommend him.

We recently added a 67,000 sq ft addition onto our facility and the contractor provided the “floor crew” and they left us a disaster. We contacted CleanPro Services LLC and Rick and his crew stepped up to the plate, with a tight deadline did an outstanding job of re-doing our floors. We were soo impressed we hired them to do our terminal cleaning as well. Now we have once again just recently hired them to go thru our entire facility of approximately 200,000 sq ft and completely refurbish our floors. Great Job !!! I look forward to a continued relationship with them, make my job much easier.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do you pay for house cleaning?

Hiring a professional house cleaning service is a helpful way to have a healthy home even when your work and personal schedule is packed. House cleaning prices vary based on how many square feet your home is, how dirty your house gets, and how often the cleaning service comes. Some companies charge a set amount — such as 5 cents — per square foot, with a minimum amount, such as $100. The national average cost for house cleaning ranges between $110 and $150. Prices can be lower in areas with a lower cost of living, higher in big cities or affluent regions. You may save money by increasing the frequency of your house cleaning visits. Often a company will charge you less per cleaning when you schedule more cleanings per month. The cost advantage rewards your loyalty, and also reflects the fact that more frequent cleanings make it easier to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your home. A housecleaning service may charge more for the first visit or for one-time services than for recurring cleanings.

Do you need to clean your air ducts?

Air duct cleaning is done by heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) professionals. The pros use industrial-strength, truck-mounted vacuums and powerful brushes and hoses to clean inside the metal ducts that make up your forced air heating and cooling system. The Environmental Protection Agency recommends duct cleaning if there is “substantial visible mold growth inside hard surface ducts, ducts that are infested with vermin such as rodents or insects, or ducts that are clogged with excessive amounts of dust and debris and/or particles are actually released into the home from your supply registers.”

You should also have air ducts cleaned after recent water contamination or water damage to prevent mold; after renovations or remodeling to ensure debris and dust didn’t settle in the vents and ducts; if you are having problems with allergies or asthma; or when you are moving into a newly purchased home, especially if the previous owners smoked or had pets. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) recommends getting your air ducts cleaned every three to five years, or every two to three years in regions where homeowners use their air conditioning and heater for many months of the year, while the EPA suggests homeowners have duct cleaning done as needed.

How often should you get your air ducts cleaned?

How often you should clean your air ducts depends on your situation. If you or someone in the home has asthma or is acutely allergic to certain airborne materials or pollen, regular duct cleaning may be helpful. The Environmental Protection Agency doesn’t have an official position on the necessity of air duct cleaning unless the ducts have been contaminated by rodents, insects or mold, or you are aware of particles blowing out through the vents. The EPA recommends you have your air ducts cleaned on an as-needed basis. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) suggests having air ducts cleaned every three to five years.

Be cautious with companies that offer “whole house air duct cleaning,” urges the NADCA. The company may be using unscrupulous tactics to upsell you once they get started. Before any work begins, always clarify in writing what the job entails and what the cost will be. To protect yourself against fraud, read customer reviews and verify that your HVAC cleaning service has applicable licenses and certifications.

How much does it cost to deep clean a house?

Deep cleaning a house goes beyond the surface level to clear out the dust, grime and gunk that’s collecting on the fan blades, hiding in the blinds, and built up inside the refrigerator drawers. Deep cleaning of a home or apartment costs more than regular house cleaning because it takes more time, effort, and cleaning products. You may choose to have a deep cleaning once or several times a year in addition to your standard cleaning services. You may have a one-time deep cleaning to prepare for company or to clean after a house party. Companies may charge an hourly rate or a price per square foot, or may offer you a flat rate after they have visited your home and estimated work time. The national average house cleaning price is $110-$150, with rates ranging higher for deep-cleaning services. Here are some examples of how a company may calculate their deep-cleaning prices:

  • 10 cents per square foot (compared with 5 cents per square foot for standard house cleaning).
  • $300 for a 3,000-square-foot home.
  • $25 per hour per worker for deep-cleaning services.

How much does it cost to replace air ducts in a house?

If your air ducts have been damaged, you’ll need to replace them. The national average air duct replacement cost is $150-$280, which may not include materials. Factors such as duct material, labor, location of ducts and linear feet of ductwork will all affect your final costs. Labor costs will vary based on how accessible the ducts are and what material your ducts are made of. The least expensive duct material is a flexible, non-metallic ducting that costs approximately $1-$2 per linear foot. Flexible aluminum is generally more expensive and stronger than non-metallic ducting. Stainless steel ducting is the strongest, the least flexible (meaning installing it typically has higher labor rates), and usually the most expensive. An average price for air duct replacement could range between $35 and $55 per linear foot, including basic materials and labor. A typical single-family home has 6-10 duct runs; replacing or installing one duct run could average $150-$250 for labor.
