We have a small 14 month old terrier mix whom we have had for about 9 months now and we just adopted an 8 week old lab mix. Our main concern was aggression with our older pup and we didn't want her passing that on to our new pup. Bruce helped us to understand the root of her aggression and to see that it was actually something that could be easily worked on. He didn't come in and try to "fix" our dog like some trainers, but rather helped empower us to help her be the best dog she could be! Bruce also helped us to leash train her because she pulled on the leash a lot when walking. Within minutes, he got her walking better than we could with months of training!! Even though we called about our older dog, Bruce also helped us to get our newest pup accustomed to being on a leash and comfortable with it. He is very knowledgeable and actually listens to concerns without judgement. I would highly recommend Bruce!
One of the first things that drew me to Amy of Dog Speak Training was her forward and upfront response to my inquiry. She gave me prices and expectations right away, which I found other trainers didnt want to give me until they were in my home and met my dogs. I felt I was able to make an educated decision upfront before inviting anyone to my home. We had an incredible phone chat to set the appointment and she gave me some tips and pointers to help right away before our in home appointment to get me by through some of the frustrations with my dogs. I chose the 2 hour session and would highly recommend the 2 hour for your first appointment because we were able to get so much more accomplished. If I had booked the 1 hour, I would have just booked an additional one hour session the following week anyway. The time frame expectations for behavior changes were very reasonable, and Im sure my dogs might be an exception, but almost every training tool she used worked within a day even when she said to give them a week. Amy is thorough, kind, and extremely knowledgeable and educated in dog training. She also has a wonderful personality and fascinating background and I find myself getting off topic to chat about just anything! I was thoroughly impressed after our first session and will continue to use her services for further in depth training and even dog boarding. Amy goes above and beyond any expectation Ive ever had for a trainer and Im so thrilled we found her. Our home is so much more peaceful with the dogs new habits. I dont want to spoil any surprises but Amy comes with her bag of tricks and treats, shes like the Mary Poppins of dogs ;) Thanks so much Amy!!
I would highly recommend K9Katelynn Dog Training I have a Briew Yorkie 10 months old and Tom worked with her and she is so much calmer and does her camands. Very happy I chose them. LKP
A lot of dog trainers want to board your dog for months and return it to you fully trained. Then they transfer the training to you. All this for thousands of dollars. No thank you. Nate came to my house and worked with Charlie and me in the environment where we live and walk. He said 4 lessons would be enough and it was. Thanks Nate.
I have tried obedience classes with my exuberant, hyper maltese previously with limited success. Cat trained my eccentric little pup to sit, wait, leave it, touch and come, as well as worked on her barking with one week of daily one-on-one training. It is obvious that she is very experienced and talented. I felt safe knowing how happy my puppy would be there with her big beautiful yard and friendly demeanour. I highly recommend Cat for dog training!!
Kathrine is a dog training miracle worker! When I got a young dog from a rescue he was very lovable but unruly. Kathrine taught me how to see things from his perspective and gently guide him into a great companion. I have recommended her to friends and all dog owners who truly want to train their dogs without harsh methods. The training takes work but itâs worth it.
Roxann is wonderful and her love for animals is clear! She does a great job with our dogs and her training and expertise really shines through! Thanks for your help!
We have taken our dogs to just a few beginner classes and we're already really happy with the improvement we see in their behavior! Michele and Ron are absolutely wonderful and spend extra time with us answering our many questions and going over training. Ron has even stayed late with us after class to help us with our excitable new rescue pup who's learning how to heel. Sundog offers amazing dog agility classes for a terrific price, we're so glad we enrolled!
I highly recommend Brenda to help with any type of training for you and your dogs. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. But the thing that I love most about her, is that she cares about my dogs as much as I do!
Karen is an exceptional dog trainer with many years of experience. She is a very proficient dog handler and able to communicate with the handler what needs to be done while at home to improve any issues you may be having with your dog.
Searching for a dog trainer is not easy, let alone if you have specific demands. This was my situation. Joyce was not quite capable of accommodating what I was requesting, but she has continued to reach out to me to try to source a solution for my specific situation. That alone, someone who didn't get my business, by no fault of her own, has repeatedly checked in seeing if she could still help some how some way speaks VOLUMES on her character. If my situation was a typical one, I can assure you I would have hired her.
When we welcomed our Labrador retriever puppy, Charlie, into our family almost three years ago, we wanted her to be a part of our active lifestyle in a stress-free way. We knew that would require an investment of our time and resources into basic obedience training, but what we didn’t realize at the time was how profound an impact that training would have on us as a family. We first left Charlie with Angelika and Tino when she was just 10 weeks old for a 2-week board and train in their home. We had interviewed other dog trainers prior but it wasn’t until we met Angelika that we really felt at peace with leaving our new puppy. The foundation of on-leash training Charlie received during that stay was an eye-opening experience into what was possible for her. In the weekly follow-up classes that we attended (which we still attend 2.5 years later!) it became apparent to us just how much of dog training is human training. Angelika and Tino worked patiently with us as we learned to effectively communicate with Charlie as leaders of her pack. We also realized how much Charlie thrives in a training environment. Learning and practicing new commands has provided a purposeful, positive outlet for her energy and has helped to foster her happy, calm, and loving temperament. Much to Charlie’s delight, we continue to send her back for board and trains (i.e. “camp”) whenever we go out of town for more than a couple of days. She’s progressed so much in her off-leash training that she is able to stay off-leash while at the park, hiking, and on other outdoor adventures. We have complete and total trust that we’re in control of her at all times, allowing us to enjoy these experiences with absolutely zero stress. We’re not exaggerating when we say that on a daily basis, we receive compliments from complete strangers that we meet in parks, on trails, or in other public places who are blown away by how well behaved Charlie is. Aside from obedience training, Angelika and Tino have been instrumental in training Charlie to perform a number of medically-related service tasks, enabling me to have her registered as my service animal and join me wherever I go. She’s also an appreciated visitor at Craig’s mom’s memory care home, where, thanks to our work with Quality K9, she is able to interact with all of the residents in a calm and gentle manner, bringing joy into their lives with her regular visits. Our time with Charlie has been amazing and Angelika and Tino have played an integral role in that. In working with them, we’ve realized that you can’t put a price on the quality of life that comes from having a well-trained companion. As long as we have dogs, they’ll have Angelika and Tino in their lives!
I used Lisa for some help with my new 10 mo Australian Shepard. He was very excitable and didn't pay attention to my attempts to train him and chased the cats all the time. I have a dog trainer I am working with but was still frustrated I contacted Lisa for a phone intervention even though I live in Pa and she is in Az. (I had met her Az last winter and she .helped me with my horse there) We scheduled a session and she connected with Finn for an hour, and then called me to discuss what she had done. A few things were that she had reassured him that this would be his forever home. He thought the horses were his job and had spent a lot of time with our horses out in the field for about a month trying to get them to play or to round them up and then abruptly just stopped and changed to chasing the cats instead. He told Lisa that the horses were boring so he chases the cats instead. She told him he was not to chase them and told him what his new job would be. (Learning 100 new things). She gave him a command that I use when he chase the cats. (taking a while, but making progress). She detected a hip issue, which he has, and did some energy work to help him be calmer. She detected kind of a stubborn streak in him, which he has. He said that there was a lot of green around. (We have about and acre of grass and a horse pasture near the house) I noticed a calmer more compliant demeanor immediately with him and in the next lesson with the trainer, the trainer remarked 3 or 4 times that she was really surprised at the difference in him since the last lesson. He was calmer and more tuned in to what she was teaching him. She didn't know about the session with Lisa. Im really grateful for Lisa's help.
Myra is an amazing human being and a GREAT trainer of dogs & humans. She has changed my life with helping me train my AWESOME Service Dog.

After many requests by frustrated dog owners, the mobile canine unit was put on the road. I call it my dog house on wheels. My four canine traveling companions (Zambia, Tanzi, Pemba and Kwele) enjoy smelling new places and meeting new friends. We are one of the few dog trainers/behaviorists that travel accross the country offering services to anyone who may need help. My success rate is almost 100 percent. Why, because I love training dogs and love teaching people. Learning how to communicate with your dog is not only gratifying but will enhance the relationship with your pet and create a life long bond.
