I was referred to Jeff Boyer by a colleague who was familiar with his work. Our small church was due for a logo update and I was awaiting responses on a number of requests. After contacting Jeff he went straight to work and in a few short days presented several more than viable options. He was timely, professional and the quality of his designs was outstanding. In fact the challenge we found ourselves faced with was the choice of logo between the many solid options Jeff presented. His creative process was fluid. He incorporated recommendations quickly and presented multiple options. Im not sure we could have had a better outcome for our project. As a minister I found his diligence and courtesy refreshing. He was also able to share numerous examples of the quality of his work that (as it turned out) I was familiar with but had no idea that these were Jeffs designs. Jeff Boyer has designed logos for both my counseling practice, as well as a non-profit organization I direct. He listened carefully to the mission of both organizations and created logos that communicated our branding. Jeff is creative, highly-detailed, and thorough. And patient, really patient! He was willing to tweak each design until we were completely satisfied. He is our go-to guy for layout and print needs. I can quote per hour or per job. I'm flexible and want to meet customers budget with fair pricing that they'll be pleased with and that I can thrive and keep in business too.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Listen closely to the client on their needs and do my best to bring a vibrant, fresh design to light with the clients description. Good communication from my clients is what I prefer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to Purdue University in W. Lafayette, Indiana where my major was graphic design and I minored in Photography. I graduated with a solid B GPA. I also worked at a studio where I was taught everything one needs to know about prepress printing. You can make a design look pretty on the screen but it doesn't mean squat if it's not printable. With my prepress training and on the job experience I can make anything print right the first time.
