Maryanne is not only a knowledgeable, skillful and professional musician, but she is also a very encouraging teacher. She listens to my goals and concerns and I really appreciate her willingness to answer my questions, even outside of lesson time. As an adult student, I find Maryanne to be a great fit.

Maryanne is a wonderful classical guitar teacher. She is very talented on this instrument and teaches in such a professional manner. She's extremely patient and helpful and even willing to answer calls and texts during non-lesson times if I have a question about a piece of music that I'm working on. She takes into consideration the types of music that I want to play and yet makes sure that I have the basic techniques to play correctly. I highly recommend Maryanne as a classical guitar teacher.

Learning guitar from Maryanne is a blessing. She's nice, patient, professional, and has her own approaches of teaching which I found very effective and inspiring. She is also a great person to talk to about cultures and musics or anything else. I enjoyed classes with her and it made my enjoy guitar even more!

I am delighted to recommend Maryanne Kremer-Ames as a guitar teacher. She is simply wonderful. I feel that studying with her has made me not just a better guitarist but also a better musician, as my ear for music has steadily developed in a way that allows me to appreciate all kinds of music more deeply. After going through four guitar teachers in seven years, I finally found Maryanne and have never looked back. I can truly say that since studying with Maryanne, I have learned how to Improve the quality of sound I get from my guitar Get the most out of my practice time Phrase the music I am learning so I am truly making music instead of just hitting the right notes Conquer difficult passages by breaking them down into smaller chunks so I can more readily identify the underlying problem that is holding me back Lock in the correct fundamentals of posture, hand position, fingernail shape, and so on that will improve my sound and increase my joy in playing Prepare for playing in front of an audience As a teacher Maryanne is patient and easy to work with. She creates a pressure-free learning environment in which everything is adapted to my individual goals and needs. Thanks to her positive approach, I really enjoy the lessons they actually offer relief from my daily stress! I cant say enough good things about her as an instructor. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my bachelor degree from a New York conservatory named "Mannes College of Music" and my masters from ASU in Tempe, AZ. In addition, I've taken master classes with many famous and prominent guitarists.
