FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have had a love of animals since as early back as I can remember, which in all honesty is around 3 years of age. I always knew that in some fashion or form, I'd work with animals. At one point, I entertained the idea of becoming a veterinarian. I enjoy very much making a dog look good, feel good and making my clients happy in the way I handle their family pets.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I'd have to say my clients who are looking for someone who really knows how to groom long-haired breeds. Most common is a tough question, with each client wanting different types of cuts, most do prefer the body to be shorter while maintaining the desired breed to appear gorgeous in the face. It's all in the eye of the beholder and their needs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Best advice I can give someone is keep your small dogs with small dogs, the large dogs with the larger breeds. I have a good friend of mine who always boarded their dogs at this dynamite facility. This facility boarded both large and small dogs. Without giving you the complete story of what occurred, their two yorkies that stayed in the small dog area, got caught in conflict with a large dog. Hence the large dog snapped the little yorkies neck. It's a story I hear time and time again. So my advice, if it's a home atmosphere you are looking to keep your little ones, make sure they board only small dogs in their particular location.
