Precious Pet Care and House Sitting
About this pro
It is with pleasure that I offer this recommendation for Julie Daly and her pet sitting service. I was in (desperate) need of someone who is dependable, compassionate, and gentle, and also someone who could provide the extra attention needed for a dog that struggles with separation anxiety. Julie came to my rescue and I consider myself very lucky to have found her. Although I have known Julie for only a few months, she has lovingly watched my anxiety-ridden boy multiple times a week so I could run daily errands, go to dinner or a movie with friends and travel out-of-town to be with my gravely ill father. She is a godsend. Her easy manner was a good match for my nervous Beagle and it is such a relief to know someone so caring and calm is with him. Since meeting Julie, I have peace of mind whenever I leave whether it is for a few hours or for two weeks. Julie is a wonderful individual who conducts herself in a friendly and professional manner. She is trustworthy and very generous of her time and most importantly, gentle with my anxious dog. I can tell she genuinely enjoys taking care of animals and feels deeply responsible for their well-being. I appreciate that Julie takes the time to let my dog warm up to her and I love seeing how well he responds to her. Although it's always difficult to leave our pets, knowing that Julie will be taking care of my boy gives me piece of mind. It is without hesitation that I highly recommend Julie to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter who is kind, trustworthy, responsible and compassionate.Mar 5, 2018Verified
Julie from Precious Pet Care has been caring for our dogs for about 3 years now. She is excellent! Initially we had a single dog who was over the age of 10 and just couldn't go to a kennel without major stress for all concerned. Enter Julie. She helped care for our beloved little girl for both short and long periods of time. We would always return to find our sweet pup happy and well cared for and our home in immaculate condition. As our pup neared the end of her life she had some medical issues that required anyone caring for her to go above and beyond. Julie was there and treated her with love and compassion and our dog was never the least bit stressed while left in her care. After a 9 month period we now have 2 new "old" dogs that we adopted last year We immediately contacted Julie when we needed a sitter. She has been out to take care of them several times and these pups love her as well. She was here just last week and was greeted with big tail wags and wet kisses. Initially I was unsure about a total stranger in my home with our first dog who was first and foremost a family member. This was even after a lengthy phone conversation and a face to face interview! Julie arrived for the interview promptly with references in hand and quickly bonded with our dog. It's hard to believe now that I felt that way as I now think of her as an extended member of the family. She's responsible, dependable and caring, I can't give her a high enough review!Mar 12, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I only do "live-in" care. I charge $35 for the first pet plus $10 each for any additional pets. This is for a 24 hour period of time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always set up an appointment to meet the client and their pet. There is no charge for this meeting.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My total lack of responsibilities at home allows me to be totally devoted to each situation as it presents itself. My children are grown and I currently do not have a mate, so I am free to spend the time and energy on the the pets in my care.
