Introduction: While some artists are defined by one style, I find myself reaching out into all aspects of photography - whether it is fine art or commercial. I focus on having a broad portfolio and not limiting my creative abilities. If I've seen a photograph of the same location a dozen times, I will incorporate props, a unique perspective, and the use of vibrant colors to make my images stand out among the rest. I truly enjoy meeting and collaborating with other people and businesses, as I am interested in providing my clients with highest quality images. Your wedding day is going to be one of the most important days of your life. As your photographer, my job is to document these incredible memories and help your wedding go as smoothly as possible. I absolutely love being able to join in the excitement of the day by capturing all of the magical moments that happen. I approach my wedding photography with a documentary style and unobtrusive approach, which allows you to simply enjoy your big day. My professional style is detail-oriented. My photographic style is creative and elegant, and my photography will reflect that. My goal is to ensure your wedding day will be captured beautifully for you to enjoy forever. I am skilled in all genres of portrait photography, and practiced in studio and locational imaging. I am committed to providing high-quality wedding, family, and event photography to all my couples. I believe that a strong standing relationship with the Bride & Groom before, during and after your special day is important. I am willing to work with you in creating a custom package to fulfill your needs.

Monica did such a wonderful job on our wedding! We found her website online and loved her portfolio. We are so happy we chose her to photograph our wedding day! Monica was with us for most of the day, taking pictures before the ceremony, during, and after, until almost the end of the reception. She captured all the shots we wanted, and we still had plenty of time for the more creative shots as well. We had her do some more traditional “wedding portrait” photos and many creative photographs. We will treasure the photos forever. Monica is both incredibly talented and easygoing. She knew exactly what he was doing – something you can’t be sure about with other photographers. Wedding pictures were really important to us, so we decided to go with a more “professional” photographers. For the added cost (which really wasn’t that much more), you’re guaranteed someone who knows how to capture perfect images and knows how to make you look good. That’s well worth the money – especially because weddings are such an important day to remember! Thanks for all your wonderful work, Monica!

"We first contacted Monica based on her creativity.. She was extremely flexible with all our planning. Our ceremony was at a small resort, but Monica suggested off-site photography and it turned out to be the best decision we made! Our wedding photos are FABULOUS and we received a full photo cd when we returned from our honeymoon, so we were able to use our photos with our wedding thank you notes. Thanks you, Monica….this was a great experience." Meri Wood

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure that the photographer is an experienced professional. Cheaper does not always mean better - especially when it comes to quality. Ask if the photographer has a formal education. Make sure that the photographer has a website and samples of their work. Request references if needed.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I wish clients understood the amount of time we dedicate in the final editing process, adjusting each individual photograph to provide the highest quality images to our clients. Post-processing is often half - or more - of how we spend our time.
