FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees are assessed based on design, size, engineering, time frame, and permit submittal requirements. Initial Deposit is required once commitment to work together is established. Payment terms are usually milestone based.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial consultation I get started with research usually right away. I like to know beforehand what the design, permit, and construction rules are for each client's particular location. Although every project is different, I begin with gathering measurements and photos of the home. Next is a design consultation, sharing ideas and goals with the client. Once a final design is approved we move to drafting a set of drawings for bids. I have a network of Builders and GCs that I work with regularly. After we have a contractor on board, we proceed to submitting the drawings and relative paperwork for the building permit. When the permit is obtained, a timeline for completion is created. My involvement remains full throttle until the paint dries and the contractor has removed all equipment and debris from the premises upon absolute completion and to the satifaction of my client. Total amount of time varies.
