Been training for 5 weeks now - can't say my body doesn't ache and there aren't moments during my workouts I think "I can't believe I am actually paying for this torture!" But it's been worth it. The workouts are amazing. Each session/week it's different (I go twice a week and get full body in on the two days) so there is no repetition. I've learned so much of what I CAN do to push myself (and I've never wanted to do weights before...was content with cardio) and I'm already seeing results!!
The best trainer in Scottsdale, period. Dolores is an extraordinary trainer and fitness coach. I highly recommend the STARTUP program. Not only do you get a feel for Dolores' expertise and capabilities, she provides a comprehensive assessment of your physical strength, cardio-fitness, and flexibility. The assessment also serves as a benchmark to measure your results from Day 1. I saw quick gains in my strength, stamina, flexibility and more importantly, I lost fat in my mid-section. Plus, she really knows her nutrition and she's so nice! Tough, but nice.
Great experience all around! Intro: I signed up for the TFW 8 Week Challenge. Shane helped me set goals for my weight loss and strength training, and even some personal goals to work on. He took my weight and body fat and measurements. Over the 8 weeks, my goal was to lose 5 lbs, but I lost 9 lbs! I definitely felt stronger and better about myself after the 8 weeks! Training: Shane is experienced and well-versed. The workouts were always changing (some day more cardio and conditioning, other days more weights and strength training). I felt he became "in tune" with me and knew the right amount of how hard to push me, yet not make me want to puke or anything too torturous haha. He was patient with my abilities and helped improve my form and technique wherever possible. Location: Right off the 101, which was convenient. Facility was always clean and cool! Great variety of equipment and options, which helped things from getting stale. Conclusion: 5 stars all around! I wish I wasn't moving to another state because I would've been happy to stay training with Shane at Ascension Training Systems. Thanks Shane!
I am a 74 year old female who has worked out with Mr. Morris for 18 years. When I look at other women my age and younger I realize what a good job he does. You receive personal attention and are challenged to be better each week. My personal regimen is 30 minutes 3 times a week plus cardio. I am strong, healthy and feel good about the way I look. J C also creates a comfortable atmosphere at the gym. For me it is fun as well as very professional.

Mike is a top notch strength and conditioning coach. I worked with him for about a year, and not only did I begin to crush what I thought I was capable of, but I also learned a ton about the how and the why - the true science behind my efforts. Before working with Mike, I was your typical cardio/light weights gym goer. I was super intimidated to go near the squat rack, literally a strength training novice. Not only was he patient at teaching me the ropes, but he also ensured that we were maximizing our time together. Working with him 2-3x per week, I experienced consistent gains, and developed a true love for lifting heavy, which I never dreamed I could do. This is because Mike has a patient disposition and is able to clearly explain and instill correct form in his clients (I know, because to this day, I have gym staff whenever I go complement my form). Outside of our sessions, he also went above and beyond in his passion for making me appreciate fitness as a lifestyle. Since we couldn't realistically train together every single day of the week (which I would have loved) he thought I might like to meet another female lifter at our gym he knew who was at my level and made that connection. This is something he didn't have to do, and beyond the scope of what I expected him to support me on - it helped so much to have a kick ass female lifter to do workouts with. This is a testament to Mike's dynamic personality and ability to make anyone feel at ease. I can't recommend him enough. If you really have a desire to be strong, and to do it right in way that won't harm your body in the long term (aka, crossfit), you won't regret working with Mike. Whether you're a novice or a professional athlete, Mike has the experience and the chops to get you to that next level.
I've been training with Zach for over 2 years and no workout is the same. My balance, coordination, and strength have all improved. I also take the kickboxing classes here twice a week which are both fun and incredibly great for all over conditioning.
I have been training with George 3 times a week for approximately 5 months. His training is a mixture of cardio & strength training in circuit form. I started training to help a back problem and he is very good at working with my needs. He has a variety of workout programs. I have definitely strengthened my core, toned up, & lost weight! He has great people skills.....easy to work with, patient, positive, & encouraging!
He is professional, consistent and uses proper form for making sure you're protected from injury. He is personable and is the only trainer I know who also spends time stretching you during your scheduled time. I have learned a lot from him. He helps hold you accountable for diet by keeping a diet journal, as well as a cardio journal to help you on track. The nutritional consulting works great for each individual body type and gender. He is top quality for a trainer.
Very intuitive, patient and understanding. I'm not much for weights and found with Dave there are alternatives. Body weight and minimum weight lifting with high reps works for me. He trains me in TRX, in which I love to do, lots of core which I need and cardio. Looking forward to kick boxing. I would recommend him over anyone I've trained with.

Sierra has been a close friend of mine for a long time. We grew up together, but grew up and moved on to do different things in different parts of the world. One thing I knew about Sierra was that she was loyal and I would always be able to get a truthful answer out of her. So when I set out to get nutritional advice from her, I knew she would give it to me straight. For years I have been going to the gym 4-6 days a week, and spending way too much time doing what was easy for me (cardio). I wasn't getting anywhere with my fitness goals for a number of reasons, and Sierra pointed them all out to me honestly and immediately. I met Geoff a few months ago right around the time I was going to buckle down and lose weight with no excuses. At the time I was 250 lbs. and was given a *very stern* warning by my physician that if I didn't lose weight it would severely impact my health. I started on my own with a diet program and lost approximately 10 lbs. After consulting with Geoff about his personal training service, I signed up immediately because his prices are very reasonable. I began working with Geoff twice a week doing floor exercises, using cardio equipment and weightlifting. My weight loss results began to improve remarkably. After working with Geoff for a few months, I am now approx. 217 lbs down from 250 lbs. My ultimate goal is 125 lbs. and I am looking forward to achieving that goal with Geoff. Geoff is friendly, encouraging, engaging, professional and courteous. I am thankful to be working with him and will continue to do so.

Jerry is a dedicated and experienced personal trainer and brings goal setting upon completion of his assessment after your first workout. Over time as your achieve your goals ( mine were strength and overall conditioning after double knee replacement surgery).We have moved on to additional goals of weight loss and nutrition planning which we achieve by a combination of cardio kick boxing, daily boot camps ( the Saturday ones are special) and personal training sessions.
