My experience with Leon Corral was wonderful. Carpet a large upstairs bedroom. Very professional, installer was on time. Installer very neat, cleaned and vacuumed left area immaculate. The company that sold us the carpet. Made a scheduling mistake, would not deliver carpet on Wednesday. Leon had the installer pick up the carpet at the store early . We had agreed to pay the store to deliver the carpet. But Leon agreed to have installer pick up carpet. Installer still arrived at8 am as originally agreed. The carpet not only had pattern matching but had a piece seemed in because of size of room. The carpet is perfectly matched and the seam cannot be found by anyone that has looked for it. We are very particular, Leon and his installer Benny exceeded our expectations. Had been very concerned about the piecing and carpet match. Benny has 20 years experience and did a fabulous job. I dont usually write reviews, this time it was a must. Hire this company, they are amazing! You will be so happy with your installations. ! This is our go to for flooring from now on.

Traecy and Brian did an excellent job of re-laying carpet in my home. The carpet had come from another home and the guys worked to find the best way to get the most from the used pieces. Both gentlemen were very pleasant and worked extremely hard. From the first contact, Traecy showed his professionalism by giving us the install date we needed, and showing up when he said he would. They cleaned up after themselves so there was nothing left but newly carpeted rooms. I would recommend Baxter Carpet Installation.

We hired them to install a large amount of carpet. The installers arrived at 8:30-9 am and were gone by 3 pm. They didn't speak much English but they can install carpet. Job was very well cleaned up after they were done.

I usually don't have the luxury of time to write reviews, but this provider truly deserves this review. Recently we moved to a house which was pretty much a sea of carpet, and we wanted to have wood plank tile floor. Throughout my previous experiences, I am quite aware of the fact that finding a reliable and professional service provider is a task which 90% percent of the time comes with surprises which we didn't want . I stumbled upon Thumbtack, thanks to Google, and after filling out my project details, I was presented with handful tile floor professionals. At first, I was skeptical about using Thumbtack, but as I went through the professional introductions, I understood how the process worked and selects the desired skilled professionals for the given project. I selected Timeless Flooring for the project because of their experience and expertise. Val of Timeless Flooring came to do the measurements and took us to one of the tile vendors (off of Hayden in Scottsdale) and not only presented us with a superb flooring selection but also got us a fantastic pricing on our selection. Our order was ready within couple of days, Val and his crew picked up the order and went right to work. And whenever I needed to get in contact with Val, he was only a text away. Timeless Flooring did an amazing job and kept everything cleaned and neat, their cleaning crew made sure to keep the working environment and surrounding cluttered free whilst the installers installed the floors. Workers showed up on time and finished the job within three days as agreed, we had our gorgeous floors on the fourth day. With my interaction and experience with Timeless Flooring, I must quite impressed with Timeless Flooring for their work ethics and professionalism. I have nothing but good things to say about Timeless Floorinf who made the entire project a breeze. If you are looking for a professional who is reliable, shows up on time, and delivers quality top notch work then Timeless Floors should be your first choice. Thank you.

Giovanni was absolutely great to work with and he was able to provide me with a great quote that beat out so many others. I was extremely appreciative that he was able to come out that next day to install the new carpet and it looks amazing!!! I had called various flooring places and they all needed me to provide the carpet. As a busy mom with two kids and a business not to mention no truck there was no way I was going to be able to do that. Giovanni had so many great carpet options for me to choose out of and he seriously made everything so easy for me. I will most definitely keep them in mind for future projects and of course as a referral for our family and friends.

We wanted to change the look in our home to a more relaxed, beachy feel. Debra came into our home and helped us pick out a beautiful plank in BlackStone Oak.  We also put on our staircase along with a gorgeous runner that she recommended.   I was amazed at how great the installers were. They moved all our furniture to do the work and  the end result looks awesome. She took care of us throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend her.

I had 3 bedrooms and a walk-in closet with carpet I wanted replaced with some type of wood- look flooring. Ray came to my house, took measurements and explained all of my options with hardwood, laminate and vinyl including the plusses and minuses of each. He had many samples and laid them out next to my furniture so we could see how it matched. We discussed pricing and a schedule for installation. Ray was extremely professional and did not try to upsell. The day of the original scheduled installation, Thursday, I was called by the installers saying the material was late in arriving and said they could come the following day, Friday. I said OK. Friday morning , a man arrived to rip out the carpet and patch the tack strips holes. I asked when the installers would be there and he said a few hours because they were finishing up another job. Friday afternoon came...no installers. A phone call said they were still at they other job, but would be there Saturday morning. Saturday, the demo man and arrived alone to finish the carpet removal and tack strip holes and move furniture including my bed. He said the installers would be there at noon. A phone call at noon said they weren't coming. My bed was apart and I had nowhere to sleep. I called Ray and he seemed upset at the delay and said he would take care of it. The installers showed up at 5 PM. They finished my bedroom, reassembled my bed and moved the bedroom furniture back. They said the would be back Sunday to do the other two bedrooms and the walk-in closet. They came Sunday and finished the two bedrooms. However, they didn't have enough material to finish the closet nor did they have the transition pieces between rooms, They would have to locate two more boxes of material and come back. The following week was Thanksgiving but they did show up the Friday after Thanksgiving and finished the job. They finished 8 days after the original scheduled installation. My schedule was very flexible but my time is not. Nothing worse than waiting for someone to show up and when they don't show up, it wastes my time. The quality of the installation was excellent. Once they were done, everything looked great. They cleaned up everything and took all the removed materials away, put all the furniture back and left me with an extra box of material. They walked me through all the rooms and explained how to care for my new floors. All in all, I was very happy with Ray and the quality of the installation. The scheduling needs some work.

I really appreciated that Joe and Josh brought the carpet samples to my house and we could see them in our bedroom. The installer Tyler was really neat and efficient. He removed and hauled away all of our laminate and then installed the carpet by himself and in less than 8 hours. We have very plush carpet for our master bedroom and it feels so nice!

We purchased new carpet, pad and installation. Our experience was excellent from beginning to end. They made it easy and convenient. All flooring samples were brought to us. We were able to get a free lifetime installation warranty and chose next day installation. I will highly recommend my friends to purchase from Express Flooring and I will certainly be a repeat customer. Thanks again!

I just bought Lifeguard Carpet from New Flooring Today! I have 2 dogs and 3 kids under 5, so my floors are always a mess! They promised that this carpet is kid and pet proof and supposedly water proof! All I can say is 3 days after they installed it... My kids and my dogs made a mess, with liquids and dirt and they instantly came up. I am glad they recommended this flooring for me! They gave it to me for 60% off and installed it 4 days later. You should definitely get this carpet and they say they have lifeguard flooring in laminate or wood, so thinking about using that in my kitchen and basement as well, especially since it is waterproof! Great flooring by I think Shaw and great company!

Jay came to our house. He brought sales of flooring and measured. We sent with hardwood flooring. He is so honest and kind. His price was great. Our house looks incredible. All of our friends were in shock, they said that they had never seen such a gorgeous floor. Now, we are going to use him for window treatments. Sally Scottsdale

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much is the cheapest carpet?

If you’re looking to reduce carpet installation costs, there are several ways to save. Start by considering your carpeting needs. Manufactured materials such as polyester and nylon will be cheaper than natural fibers such as wool. From big box retailers, starting prices for olefin-based carpet are approximately 50 cents per square foot — making the cost under $5 per square yard. Indoor carpets made with olefin fibers are typically the least expensive on the market. Keep in mind that olefin fibers are not as soft on bare feet as other fibers, so are often used in areas like basements, playrooms or indoor patios. Nylon and polyester are good options to reduce carpet installation costs while still creating a cozy feel. The face weight, fiber construction and density of a carpet all affect the cost per square foot. The cheapest nylon or polyester carpets can start at just under $2 per square foot, making them about $18 per square yard. Lower-cost carpet tends to wear out more quickly and show stains more easily, so avoid light colors and vacuum regularly to keep the fibers clear of dirt that might age it too quickly.

How much does it cost to install carpet?

If you’re ready to bring new life into your house with a makeover from the ground up, you’re ready to learn more about carpet installation costs. Installation costs vary greatly, depending on a number of factors such as the type of carpet, the number of square yards, any necessary repair work, the number of stairs you have, and where you live. Due to these variables, the national average cost of carpet installation ranges between $200 and $4,500.

To start planning for your new carpet, measure roughly how many square yards of carpet you’ll need. Research the main carpet styles and materials you like to get a feel for what they cost. Nylon carpets are typically the least expensive, and wool is one of the higher-end carpets. Prices per square foot might range from under $2 to over $10, depending on materials. Count the number of stairs you want carpeted; each one might average between $3 and $10 (or more for box steps). Carpet removal can be an added cost as well, averaging $1-$4 per square yard, depending on the company and regional disposal costs.

How much does it cost to carpet a bedroom?

If you’re building a new home, remodeling, or ready for new carpet in your bedroom, you’ll want to know carpet installation costs. Here are the factors that affect the cost of your new bedroom carpet:

  • Installation cost per square yard: From under $2 to over $6. Carpet companies have a labor cost per square foot for installing your new carpet. Depending on where you live in the country, that rate can vary greatly. This rate does not include the cost of the carpet.
  • Type of carpet: from $1 per square foot to $20 or more per square foot. The fibers that make up your carpet will have a direct effect on cost. As an example, specialty wool carpets may start at about $10 per square foot, while a manufactured fiber like nylon may be about $2 per square foot.
  • Removal of old carpet: from $1 to $4 per square yard. Old carpet is labor-intensive to remove and also costs money to dispose of or recycle. The cost to remove carpet will depend on how much carpet you need removed and whether your installation pros offer a discounted rate for installing your new carpet at the same time.
  • Subfloor repair: from $40 to $70 per hour (plus materials cost). If the flooring underneath your old carpet is damaged, it must be repaired before the new carpet is installed. Many carpet pros can offer this service, or you can hire a handyman to handle the job.
  • Type of carpet pad: $1 per square yard and up, depending on the thickness. The cost to install carpet pad is typically included with the labor cost per yard of installing the carpet itself.

How much does it cost to install carpet on stairs?

The number of stairs you want carpeted in your home will directly affect your carpet installation cost. Putting carpet on stairs generally increases the labor time and requires a higher degree of detail than laying carpet flat. Where you live in the country also plays a role in your carpet installation cost. Carpet installation companies in smaller towns with a lower cost of living and a lower cost to do business (insurance, company vehicles, employee labor, etc.) can usually offer their customers lower rates than companies in large cities where the cost of living and the cost to do business are higher. Carpet pros will often quote you a flat rate per stair once they do a site visit to provide an estimate. They’ll take into account the size of each stair you want carpeted (including both the step and the riser), and what type of stair it is. For example, the cost might range between $3 and $10 per stair for labor only. On the higher end of the spectrum, box stairs or staircase stairs with spindles that must be worked around might cost between $15 and $25 per stair.
