The reality...real and lasting transformation takes time...it is NOT a linear trajectory that occurs in two weeks, or even a month. Life happens and old habits die hard. Eating less and moving more is not a complete and accurate recipe for weight loss, fitness and long term success. Simply following the next great "meal plan" will not provide the real tools for lasting change. At Primal Warrior Coaching we believe learning and mastering fundamental movement patterns and healthy-eating habits are the twin-pillars for optimal fitness and nutrition. If you can't hip-hinge while maintaining core stability, you shouldn't deadlift! If you aren't drinking enough water and/or whole-foods aren't the building blocks of your diet, you shouldn't worry about what protein powder or multi-vitamin supplement is best. We believe self-empowerment is a critical life-skill that can be taught and learned. As a fitness/ wellness coaches and massage therapist, we strive to guide our clients in its pursuit. I have had chronic upper back and neck tension from a hectic lifestyle and demanding work schedule. I also have imbalances in muscle tone in my back and core area due to collegiate level sport participation and several pregnancies. I thought that my pain was here to stay, especially after several visits to other therapy places and chiropractors. After using Primal Function Therapy, I have seen positive results both in pain reduction and overall health awareness. The most amazing part, I didn't feel "beat up" after the session! Simple tips and pointers that Jon discussed with me have helped me re-evaluate my posture while working at my computer all day and while exercising. Thankfully, after just one massage therapy session, Jon was able to relieve the stress and tension in my upper back and give me corrective exercises to work on at home to help reduce future flare ups. Regular follow up visits have helped eliminate reoccurrences and improved my overall lifestyle. Jon is committed to the overall health of his clients by giving them the tools and resources needed to live a healthy lifestyle. I can't wait to try out some of the other services provided

I was VERY impressed with my therapy session with Jon. I would and have recommended him to anyone who even mentions they have pain/ailment or needs to just relax for a bit. I have had many massages over the years and never have I found a therapist that not only understands anatomy and how the body moves as a whole but is able to apply this understanding to his therapy work. Everything done in this session was done with intent and not just to pass the time. BEST 90min I have ever spent! I learned a great deal on how to prevent pain and was impressed with the session as a whole. If you are looking for a fluffy massage where you are just a number and the therapist is just buying time until they get off then this is not the place for you. If you want a massage with intent and results based on what YOU have asked the therapist to work on that day then Jon is your person. He HEARS what you need, assesses alignment before you even get on the table and then provides you with home techniques to limit/reduce pain and improve your bodies overall function.

Jon was referred to me by my massage therapist the beginning of November 2013. She felt I needed to regain strength on the left side of my body after a T.I.A. (transient ischemic attack). I am thrilled with the progress I have made. What I love about Jon is that he is very patient and explains everything so it's easily understood. He works you hard, but he makes it fun at the same time (always with a smile). He recently introduced a program called FMS (Functional Movement System) which makes me aware of where I need to improve movement patterns to prevent injury when playing tennis, pickleball or lifting weights etc. Also, Jon can introduce you to a healthy way of eating. I would encourage anyone looking for a great trainer to contact Jon.
