John repaired a bad roof look on the sheet rock. He blocked off dust from the rest of the room and did an excellent repair.
Replaced the door leading from our garage to the utility room. Did a great job, very nice work and excellent job on the trim.
After our upstairs toilet leaked through the bathroom floor/garage roof, Charles was able to quickly repair the roof and replaced the baseboards in our bathroom all for a very reasonable price. His work speaks for itself, he took the time to ensure that our baseboards and the caulking on the tile floor matched as close as possible, his technician Jaime did a great job texturing the garage roof. Overall we are very happy with the work that was done, Charles was very knowledgable, professional and we highly recommended taking advantage of his services.
Very Happy, we had Painted every room in our house including the Ceilings looks wonderful!
It is never easy dealing with an insurance claim. Josh Rudin and Jason Jackson came to our rescue when we found out we had collapsed pipes under our foundation in our kitchen. They not only provided incredible contractors to rebuild our kitchen, laundry room, hall and kids bathroom they helped us get the most out of our situation. ASAP Restoration was responsive, professional and communicated with us to make a bad situation not so bad. We couldn't be happier with the end result and our house turned out beautiful.
I didn’t think there was much hope for my leaky, moldy outdated ceramic tile shower with some god-awful floor base that stained so bad. I have a decent house but this shower area was a nightmare. Well I really lucked out getting Ivan via Thumbtack. I heartily recommend him for any drywall, tile and grout creation you might want. He’s an absolute craftsman. He doesn’t just repair, he creates a new design look. Every time I look at my new shower area I am amazed and pleased to find everything is square and plumb, the tiles are cut and installed perfectly and the tile and grout color enhances the new chrome and glass door he picked out. As a matter of fact he picked out everything on account of I have no design sense and, I’m told, I may as well be color blind as to try to pick out something tasteful. No matter to Ivan. Since he knows what he is doing he picked out everything perfectly. He also took time to prepare all the surfaces and treat the area against mold before installing new waterproof drywall and a modern floor and drain area. The he artistically created a tile enclosure like no other I’ve see. It’s not that he increased the value of my home much more than I paid him; it’s not that he worked fast but careful and it's not the very fair price he gave me. It’s because I feel happily amazed when I enter the room and see his craftsmanship. That peace of mind hardly compares with the little he charged me compared to the result I got back. Bonus: He has a pleasing professional personality that is extremely rare in contractors these days. You can trust him to listen to you and still create a masterpiece.
Had my daughter's room painted in 3 different colors. Painter showed up on time, went straight to work, and completed job as requested. Beautiful work. Will re-hire for other jobs. Quality work. Impressed.
Patrick is very kind and professional. He worked nonstop assembling furniture for us and mounting shelves in our bedrooms. We would definitely use him again in the future.
Photo updates to follow First, I should say that for a big project like this, I would hire John again, bottom line. That is probably the most straightforward way to assess the renovation as a whole. We hear nightmare stories all the time about significant (and even minor) home renovations and, while we had our frustrations, we went through a big job with few significant complaints. Planning/cost: Initially discussing the project, John was extremely receptive to our budget needs: we had saved up a very specific amount of money, and needed to complete two big projects in order to make the house more appealing to future renters (as we plan to move to a home with my wife's parents for the foreseeable future). The house had only one bathroom, even though it was approximately 1600 square feet. We needed to fix that if any families were going to rent. John understood and very clearly explained where we would be able to save money, what he would charge us for his work, for materials he bought vs. materials we provided, the realistic areas we could go cheap and the areas we couldn't scrimp on. John's price was not just competitive, but frankly made the difference between us being able to have these two complete and dramatic projects vs. one that would have left us feeling wanting. However, it was the price along with the fact that his clients indicated he was flexible and budget sensitive through the whole project that made the decision for us. (We've certainly dealt with people who claim to be able to work with "x" budget, and then everything somehow inflates dramatically over time.) We had a laundry/utility room that was separated from the main house by a breezeway. John connected it to the main house with brick in the same style as the house. He converted the room to a full bath and laundry room with a large shower. Simultaneously, he opened up the bare backyard wall of the main house, installing larger windows and glass french doors. Quality of work/cleanliness: John completed a great deal of the work himself, using a subcontractor to perform most of the brick work and the drywall. The quality, functionality, and look of the work overall was simply fantastic. Day after day they meticulously cleaned up their work, leaving as little footprint as possible on our day to day lives throughout the process, which, frankly reduced the stress that I believe tends to naturally accumulate during such projects. Once we paint it I believe the new brick will be entirely indistinguishable from the old. The brick has extremely clean lines in the same pattern as the existing work, and the finishing work around the windows and doors is excellent. We did have a brief ordeal flushing out a clog that seemed to result from construction debris, but ultimately the plumbing is excellent. Similarly, the shower tile work ultimately is terrific, but we did have a problem with the layout due to an error that John corrected, and it looks wonderful. In the bathroom, he took what was basically a junk/laundry room and installed an elegantly laid out vanity, toilet, laundry hookups on one side, and a massive shower, and utility/cleanup sink on the other, with room to spare. He added a simple half-wall to divide the toilet from the washer/dryer that works perfectly to separate the space. The shower he created for us is enormous and beautiful. Every time we go in the room, we are impressed all over again. The whole room could have appeared like a necessary appendage stuck on to the rest of the house, but that large, bright tile shower makes the room look elegant. Flexibility: I hated to lose my very functional utility sink from that room and hadn't planned for a replacement; however, John helped by coming up with a clever solution to put a sealed brick sink in with the water heater closet. which works perfectly. It's a clean, and very functional solution that I constantly appreciate having, though it was certainly a significant adjustment for him. When we requested adjustments, it felt as though John quoted a bit high to accommodate time and materials (and his added stress). But all in all he was fair and up front about the work, his time, and our options. That being said, there were some frustrations: Our frustrations all come down to communication and documentation. I don't fault John for all of this - his talent lies in the work he does; had we been more on the ball, we would have been more clear and organized ourselves. We had any number of preliminary discussions with John, and agreed to three or four major things up front, that satisfied us the work could be done in a way that would meet all of our needs. But as the project began and progressed, numerous details were forgotten. Specifically, the layout of the utility room and the physical requirements for the french doors to be installed. John repeatedly asked how we wanted to accommodate something as if we had not already come to a conclusion on the matter and we would essentially have to re-figure it out. Specifically, he forgot the layout that best accommodated all of the elements I mentioned above, and he forgot that he would have to "float" the bathroom wall, requiring a different (pricier) toilet than originally planned. Additionally, when he went to start work on the french doors, he had to take extra time to order a lintel that would span the entire length rather than two separate lintels - but, of course these were dimensions he'd known since originally planning the project. Things like this ultimately got worked out to our satisfaction, with one frustrating exception, but if either of us had documented what we'd agreed upon, it would have saved a great deal of hassle and debate, as my wife and I had to re-discuss everything ourselves as well, which reinforced John's feeling that we'd never come to a final agreement to begin with. Time/documentation: While we believe John was more than fair in his billing, the lack of clear, consistent documented days/hours prevented us from having a clear, concrete idea where we stood financially during the project. This impacted us when, in a couple of instances, we did ask for changes (such as installing the utility sink) and he quoted us for the change, though we had no idea whether we were in the high or low end of the overall planned project. All of this is to say: John worked it all out, and he did so in a way that was affordable, excellent, excellent, quality, beautiful work. But, in order to avoid frustration, agreements as to planning should be documented and ongoing days/hours worked should be documented. This would help avoid revisiting complicated plans and would allow for adjustments without having to be in the dark about the bottom line. Day in, day out, we are grateful for the work John did, and that it didn't eat us alive financially, because he did come in right in line with the budget. We love looking through our fantastic glass doors every morning. We have guests stay with us for a day or two, and love having a beautiful distinct bathroom they can use when they stay with us. We love knowing they won't feel they're entering into some dark corner of the house tacked on because it had to be, but that there's a beautiful bath with plenty of space that they can make themselves feel at home in.
Richard did an excellent job with laundry room repair and painting of living room. Would highly recommend him for services needed. Everything was done on time and I'm very happy with his work.

Seworaexcellent work and I plan to rehire him to remodel a room. excellent work and I plan to hire him to remodel a room.arrivedearly for his bed he arrived on time for the job with all the needed materials and stayed until it was done right. I am impressed with his work
Tom's team is outstanding. My small project turned into a total remodel. He tore out walls and installed iron beams for a great room, built a new kitchen, concrete work, new quartz counters, added a bathroom and laid beautiful porcelain floors throughout. He's a rare find in a large city.
Carson was the Gen. Contractor on our house remodeling. It was an extensive remodeling of both exterior and interior work. The exterior required retaining and decorative walls with extensive regrading and backfill work, new roofing, stucco and painting. The interior included new kitchen cabinets, removal of walls, rebuilding of an entry coat closet with angled walls, new drywall, hanging of new doors, new dryer vent and floor tile. There was a mistake on the dimensions for the new quartz countertop which Carson insisted had to be removed and replaced. This impresed me as he backed me up and not the subcontractor. Carson was easy to work with, knows his business, and was a professional. The quality of the work by Carson Rogers and his subs was of high quality and better than a lot of residencial contractors in the business today. We are very happy with the outcome. I will be calling on Carson Rogers to do our bathroom remodelings next spring.
Danny tiled our bath floor. The actual laying method of the tile changed due to time constraints, so I've been holding my review for a month. So far so good. He seems quite good at the cutting and fitting of the tile also. All in all a nice guy.
After talking to 5 different sources to build an In-law suite on our home, I chose Duke Dumont. Stuart Price was the GC. He was informative, honest, caring and my choice from the very beginning even though the quote was more than we could afford. He was the only one who gave us a start to finish option. He worked with us to get as much as we could with our funding and advised us on the contractors WE brought in. Even advising against one that was way over priced! He took care of MORE than was expected and stuck with us to the end, even though he was only responsible to the dry wall. I can't say enough about the quality of the people who built our room, they were honest and cared about the job they did for us!! I would and HAVE told people about Stuart and Duke Dumont.
We've had Rick do two major remodeling projects in our home, one being a bathroom redo and it turned out great. He recently took out a wall, built and installed an island in between fam room & kitchen. We are very pleased with Rick and his work. He was here when he said he'd be here and did the jobs exactly like we requested.
I couldn't be happier! Chris helped us with crown and base moldings, along with painting our rooms and fireplace. Came out amazing! also helped with installation of some lights and a small plumbing issue, and a replacement of one of our wood beams in our balcony. a real perfectionist and super reasonable prices!!!
Excellent.Have worked with Chris Kelly and CMK over last 10 years. They have done major kitchen and bath remodel as well as a major expansion of my bedroom, great room and outdoor living space. This covered all structural, electrical, windows, flooring, paint, stone work and appliances. They also coordinated the design work and all permits and approvals. The work was too or exceeded all quoted standards, was on time and budget and the craftsmanship was excellent. Chris and his team understand the value proposition to the homeowner and his honesty and integrity were without question. He has always been there even for small issues and believes in and understands what a long term business means. I highly recommend him for work ranging from a remodel to building a new home.
I have hired American Painting to paint several sections of my office; lobby treatments rooms, common areas. Erik was a delight to work with and 100% professional. I have a difficult time selecting paint colors and Erik was always helpful. We even did a custom decorative faux finish on 3 walls to add emphasis or "punch" to each room - beautiful. I love my office now. My clients comment regularly how they love my paint colors and I often give out Erik's number as a referral knowing with complete confidence that my recommendation of American Painting's services will be a positive experience.
I had gotten this heavy wood dinning room table which had a very dark tint to it. I personally didn't think it could be fixtures up and used for a dining table cause of the condition, cracked, splintered, and very dark. I brought the table to Eugene and explained to him that I liked the the way the table looked but was sceptical of the top of it and if he wasn't able to fix it I could find another use for it in my shop. Boy all I can say after Eugene worked his mojo, that table will probably be replacing my Ashwood table in my dining room! He went the opposite color turning the table into a blond celebration. It is beautiful. He repaired the splits and filled in some of the bigger gouges but left some of small dimples remain so that it gave it a Family table look. This person is definitely a ESG CUSTOMER. Now for me to get my ash table into his shop. I wish there was a way to attach pictures.
Herb of First Impressions Contracting was the best choice for my remodel. We interviewed three contractors, and he seem the most sincere and most knowledgeable. He remodeled our guest bathroom, master and painted our entire downstairs. He was always on time and clean and well priced. We'll use him next time we need work done. Our rooms turned out excellent!
