Circuit Breaker Panel or Fuse Box Repair
Tom came out the following day after I improperly connected several switches in my home and shorted a breaker in my fuse panel. He was punctual, informational, and helped me get switches properly connected and working! I would definitely recommend Tom to anyone needing help troubleshooting an electrical issue and trust him to repair and get your electrical up and running!Jun 18, 2019VerifiedAB Electric's reply
Thank you for the review! I’m glad I was able to get your power all back on for you and it wasn’t as bad as you thought.
Circuit Breaker Panel or Fuse Box Installation
NEVER EVER use AB Electric.. He should not even have a license. Here is a list of issues we had with Tom... (pictures below are just a few items ) Tom just kept saying "My job is just to Update the panel and nothing more" 1. The wiring job you did was un-organized and had to be redone 2. You had a few incorrect sized breakers 3. Per code you need a ground rod 8 feet down level with the ground - you had 2 that were maybe 3 feet tall and only 2 feet in the ground (Inspector states they would have failed - I have photo proof) 4. You snipped the UFER ground that was original to the old panel and there was no reason to cut (Inspector states they would have failed - i have photo proof) 5. You cut the ground wire to the hot water heater (Inspector states they would have failed - i have photo proof) 6. The panel was not even connected to the house, it took 4 in bolts to actually connect to the studs - you had 2 inch - we were able to pull the panel from the house (Inspector states they would have failed - i have photo proof) 7. Per code you needed a back panel that would be flush against the stucco - since this was not done the whole panel had to be removed, all the wiring disconnected, breakers removed and all put back (Inspector states they would have failed - i have photo proof) 8. You needed to connected a new ground wire from the panel to the UFER - since you cut it it needed to have a permanent connection made (Inspector states they would have failed - i have photo proof) 9. You removed the one outside plug and did not replace 10. You did not fix the stucco (which any other electrician would repair if they made a whole) 11. The lights that did not work were because you crossed a wire and it broke the Hot connection and needed to be fixed 12. The stucco and trash that was left on the ground, you simply covered up with the existing landscape rock 13. The panel was NOT labeled correct since you did not go around my house and verifying what plug or light went to what breaker. Had you done this you would have found the one set of lights that did not work and 2nd that several of the breakers were not in use. (Inspector states they would have failed - i have photo proof) Only after we hired a new electrician did we find the cut ground wire and lags screws that were too short - Short Rods Tom stated that he was DONE and wanted to be paid - We had no idea that a FINAL needed to be done since we assumed TOM was honest when he said he was done.. After I was showed all the issues, no way was TOM going to allowed to fix... Don't make the mistake we did and hire AB electric... We have more photos that shows all the issues I added here. Finally TOM left our job before the power was turned on. It was not his job to ensure the job was correct. We had to get a generator to power our fridge since it had been over 8 hours without power. Nice GUY!!!!! TOM needs to repay the cost of the 2nd Electrician that we are now out 2K to have the work done right!!!!Apr 2, 2018VerifiedAB Electric's reply
I am responding to the review about recent work done at your home. I installed a new electric panel with new breakers as we had agreed. The work was completed, inspected for temporary clearance by the county inspector, and final clearance by the SRP inspector and the meter and power turned back on 3/20/17. The county inspector was to come back out to give final clearance, pretty standard typical situation. Once power was back on, a lighting circuit did not work for you. I rechecked power and checked all the wiring at the new breakers. All tested good and everything was coming out of the electric panel normal. You insisted I had to fix the circuit even as you had stated that you had previously before I was at your home, that you had done some of your own additional wiring. I agreed with you that you should and could get someone, or you do it yourself, to fix that circuit alone, nothing to do or even said about the electric panel. You got another contractor who fixed loose wires in your attic, was probably going to try to charge me, and then crossed it off their invoice. I never was in your attic? I did not add anything to any circuit on your house? I just installed a new electric panel. At this point, I don’t know what electric work you stated doing what exactly you did on your home. I don’t know what exactly your other contractor did to your home completely. I do know the contractor removed the electric panel, removed all the wires, removed all the breakers and then put it back together. After I had passed inspections? Is this other contractor above the other inspectors who had green tagged the job? I don’t know at this pointWhat you did, what they did? And you want me to pay back yhe money to you, and pay there bill?I’m supposed to warranty your and their work?
Electrical and Wiring Repair
Tom repaired a bad GFCI to our pool light and tested it. Very friendly and also gave some recommendations on some other project work I asked him about. Will engage Tom again on other projects.Sep 14, 2019Verified

Thank you for the great review!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I like to give our customers flat rate prices from ceiling fans on up. For larger or more detailed jobs I like to come out and meet the customer to see the job to give a more accurate quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? If it's a simple device or two, or a basic ceiling fan needed, I can quote those unseen. Most other jobs requests would be best if I came out to the customers location to see the scope of work needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have 30+ years in the electrical field here in the Phoenix metro area. Commercial, residential and industrial new construction. Commercial and residential electric service for customers. 4 year apprenticeship classes in the field start out, necessary NEC and NFPA code classes needed for the trade. Advanced education in electric wiring and installations.
