Ian was outstanding and very professional. We hired him to play at a conference event for 300 people and he was exactly what we were looking for! His range of music was varied enough to appeal to all of the attendees. He was on time, dependable and very professional. We plan to have Ian back for future events.Aug 24, 2016VerifiedIan Eric's Acoustic Entertainment's reply
Thank you for the glowing review, Laura - I had a great time at your event, and hope to see you again in the future for more!
Ian played at our wedding and reception, and was the star of the show. He was absolutely GREAT to work with and was so respectful of what how I wanted the wedding and reception to look. He learned special songs for me and was flexible with our uncertain plans since it was raining. Loved his generous personality and terrific music! He was AWESOME!. I felt like he was more of a guest than a hired musician. You can't go wrong with Ian Eric.Mar 31, 2015Ian Eric's Acoustic Entertainment's reply
Thank you so much, Martha. It was an honor to share your wedding day, and you and your guests were incredibly gracious and a whole lot of fun!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Constantly! I love learning new songs and practicing to get them performance-ready. Also working with my looping device which allows me to layer multiple guitar and vocal 'tracks' together in a live situation. It's great fun! I also like to stay on top of innovations in equipment and technology that can enhance my sound and performance, particularly new guitars and updated looping devices.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Chance, really. I've played guitar and sang since I was a teenager. In my early 20's, I heard a guy playing at a bar who, sadly, was not very good. In a moment of boldness, I stated that I could do better - which was within earshot of the bar manager. He 'hired' me to play for free a few days later. That led to me replacing that other guy and a regular paid gig. I've been doing it ever since! First as a side job, however music has now been my full-time profession since 2013, and I'm constantly humbled and amazed that I have the opportunity to do what I do!
- What types of customers have you worked with? Most of my work is bar and restaurant gigs. 3 or 4 hour shows on weekends, weeknights, and happy hours. But I also play plenty of house parties, weddings, corporate functions, and other private events, and also host Open Mic Nights.
