I highly recommend Matt. My concerns about starting personal training were: I haven't ever lifted weights before, I wasn't sure about having a male personal trainer, I thought I might hate it. But I have had a great experience. Matt makes the workouts difficult but accessible. It isn't at all uncomfortable that he is a man. And I always leave feeling happy that I went. He is really nice, professional and helps me work toward my goals.
I felt there was something missing in my life and Mr. Cable helped me assess specific areas, such as career/purpose, fun & recreation, health, etc., to determine which were lacking. He then helped me find ways to balance these areas to make life more fulfilling. He was professional, competent and very helpful.
I have been to other Personal Trainer's before. I have gone to enough to get a general idea of what to expect. Before meeting Matt, and visiting Underground Fitness I was completely expecting the "car salesman" pitch. I expected to walk into the gym during my first free session and workout for maybe 35-40 minutes then be taken to a big old desk and sold a pile of packages I could not afford. My expectations were shattered, and Underground Fitness broke the Personal Training stereotype for many reasons. First, I explained to Matt my personal goals (shed the fat, tone, and look good for my wedding that was 6 weeks away). Matt listened and was excited to take on the challenge. Second, Underground Fitness offers two free sessions which includes a nutrition plan breakdown. And can we talk about the nutrition plan? Without revealing their secrets it is COMPLETELY attainable and you do not have to buy special meals or starve yourself. Third, Matt Hoodie, the owner, is a walking success story. Matt has been where most of us have been and currently are. He lost a mountain of weight and has shaped his body to what most of us believe to be ideal. His education in Dietetics and Exercise Science offers much more than meets to eye because he can explain his motives behind certain things and teach us what we are doing wrong. Overall, I will never go anywhere else for my personal training needs. I still have a long road ahead of me, however for the first time ever after meeting a trainer I felt like my goals were achievable in within reasonable reach.
I went into Raymond at Inner Power Hypnotherapy out of pure desperation and in a last ditch effort because everything else had failed. I was in an unhealthy marriage, I had gained ALOT of weight, had developed low self esteem, suffered sever pain from fibromyalgia and had lost myself and who I was because of all these thing. I went to the first visit just wanting to lose some weight to look better for my husband and not hurt so much. Well let me tell you I may have went thinking I knew what I wanted but I left with what I needed. I left feeling so empowered!. (He even helped me address and let go of some issued I had been carrying around since I was little that had been effecting me my whole life) I have taken control of my life back and am starting to find me again. 6 months ago I could not even walk 400 steps a day the pain was so severe from the fibromyalgia and today I am pain free. Before seeing Ray if you had asked me what I like to do I would have just stared at you and said "I don't know" because I had lost me and I really didn't know. Today I can name you half a dozen thing I have discovered I love to do. Ray is not just a wonderful hypnotherapist you can trust but a great therapist, confidant, life coach and mentor. I highly recommend Ray at Inner Power Hypnotherapy for what ever your needs are.
I have issues in every aspect in my life. What to do? All I know is that I cannot continue living this way any longer. I made one of the best decisions of my life-visiting Amanda. My answer to most of her questions was "I don't know." To which she would reply that this is a hard, long, challenging process (she assigns homework, but there's madness to her method) but in trusting her together we will figure out the answers. I will one day live the life that I want for myself. Amanda will get me there and together we will celebrate!
Just started with Derek. I was a personal trainer and athlete for many years....now I am 73 and swimming a mile or two. Derek is what I need for sure! After a year of surgeries and some permanent injuries, it's hard to bounce back. He sure knows how to bounce you back! A seasoned pro who knows the human body and it's needs. He is the man!
I've had several trainers in the past, but I have to say Jessica is by far the best. She is extremely knowledgeable and actually cares about not only my health and fitness but she cares about my well-being and me as a person. She's laser focused during our sessions and constantly ensuring that I have appropriate biomechanics and technique. Another thing she does that none of my other trainers ever did is a functional movement screen. After the screen and the corrective exercises she prescribed I've been moving better and with less aches and pains than ever in my life! Also, she is very up to date on any and everything related to exercise or fitness as she is always informing me of some fascinating new research she's discovered. She is committed to her craft and passionate about helping others. Jessica is also dependable and has a fabulous personality and demeanor...i wish I found Jessica 10 years ago. I just can not say enough good things about her. If you are looking for an EXCELLENT trainer with OPTIMAL results, don't waste your time looking at other trainers. Stop what you're doing and get on the schedule with Jessica, she's the best there is. If I could give 100 stars I would!

I really felt Wendy cared about me. I still can't believe I was able to be hypnotized. I am grateful for the time she spent with me, and for her suggestions. She definitely provided more than hypnotherapy; there was life coaching in there, too. All of it was very helpful. I have already put some of what she mentioned to good and use. :-) I am looking forward to our next session.
I've been an avid exerciser my whole life, even an athlete in school. When I turned 30 a couple of years ago, extra weight came on and I started losing my tone no matter how hard I worked out. I started working out with Dolores only to find out I wasn't getting the results I wanted because my form and technique needed improvement. I wasted so much time & money before then! Dolores is world-class. I've learned so much about my body, movement, and nutrition from her. Now at 34 I look better than I did at 22!
I was originally seeking a personal trainer to get in shape, I have used personal trainers in the past. My experience in the past was to receive an exercise program to follow. With Jon, I get much more than that...Jon takes the time to understand my strengths and weaknesses and explains the "why" to everything he does. He is extremely thorough, professional and a really nice guy! He has taught me so much about my current physical condition and has a very deliberate plan on what we will work on, including diet. I also get motivational messages throughout the week from Jon that keeps my health top of mind. He is much more than I bargained for and has far exceeded my expectations. I am 56 years old and I feel that I am getting quality over quantity with Jon. I would highly recommend him to individuals of any age.
I've been working with Self Performance Fitness for almost a month now and I am so thankful I found Kelsey! She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about all things fitness and nutrition. I lacked the motivation and discipline to exercise on my own, so figured I'd give personal training a try. I never knew I was capable of the types of workouts I am doing now with Kelsey. She is always encouraging and is good at knowing when you need more and when you need a little break. Liz Brooks is truly an amazing personal trainer! She works with me as a whole person; physically, mentally, and emotionally. Because of her efforts, I have lost a total of 142lbs so far, I am stronger (both physically and mentally), I am more confidant, I am healthy, and I am just genuinely happier with my life! Patrick Thomas has been my Personal Trainer for 2+ years. Patrick took me from post-physical therapy for cervical radiculopathy to a fitness level I now feel comfortable with. Patrick is highly skilled. He's the perfect combination of Tough and Warm. Pushing you to your max. Patrick works with all levels of clients and has the ability to work with "the whole person". John is fantastic! He is a great motivator and a constant source of support. His abilities reach far beyond the physical workout, he is an expert in nutrition as well as a life coach. I had my (first ever) life coaching session with Nicole. I was not too sure what that even meant when I signed up, but knew that I wanted someone in the world to talk to and guide me. From the moment our call began I instantly felt comfortable with her. Even though we were not face to face, she was so very present. She guided me through the process of being coached, and really made me think and talk about many aspects of my life. Her questions were well thought out, and so appropriately put each and every time. She also sent me notes and steps for moving forward, which will be so helpful to have in print for the future.
Katrina is an amazing personal trainer. She is great at adapting to whatever needs a client may have; especially if there are injuries involved, she can modify exercises to fit the person! I started training in Pankration about a year ago... When I came in I was greeted by Dan and he explained what Pankration was and gave me his background which is in Wrestling... After my first night training with Dan I was hooked... Because of Dan's coaching and power to motivate I have found a new love for Wrestling and Pankration... I feel very confident in my hand to hand combat abilities and not to mention I got in great shape because Dan would put us threw some grueling grappling and sparring sessions... In in all Dan Huber is an excellent Coach and a great Friend if their is anyone you want in your corner it's Dan... Besides our Master Instructor Jeff, Dan is the only other person I know that has a genuine love for hand to hand combat... Thanks Dan... TEAM LEONIDAS!!!
