Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Two things. Access and credibility. First access. One key advantage to working with Alex Baird Photography is that Alex also owns Epiphany Studios in Tempe, AZ. Its a 2400 soft commercial photography/video studio that has all of the amenities required for a large production shoot, to a more intimate setup. The studio has hosted world wide live broadcasts, music videos, famous stars, and local talent. Not every photographer has that access. We do. Second, credibility. If you aren't satisfied, we aren't satisfied. Our shooting style, wether on location or in the studio is to shoot directly into a computer or constantly uploading images to the computer. This gives you, the client, instant feedback and approval for work. Not every photographer has or can invest in this type of technology, or see the value. We do. You will see images on either a laptop screen or one of the big LCD screens in the studio. The very interesting people we get to meet. We've met politicians, rock stars, doctors, financial barons, and my favorite, new friends and families. All I admire. All I enjoy association with long after the job is done.

Alex was the very first PROFESSIONAL photographer I had ever worked with. He taught me so much as a model and basically I consider my "mentor." From the moment I met him I loved him! He's such a genuinely caring, helpful person as well as a great sense of humor. He is one of my favorite Arizona photographers by far. He will always have a place in my heart because he pretty much helped me get somewhere in the industry. His advice and tips are the best with new models, and he's very professional at his job both as a studio owner and photographer. Not to mention I love his family to pieces and they are also the sweetest people in the world. Alex, keep being you and never change.

He is always extremely professional and fun to work with. Knows how to make the client feel comfortable--even those who are not normally comfortable in front of the camera. And affordable. I recommend him to everyone.

We started working with Alex two years ago, and now have done quite a few projects together. We use him when we know that our client needs thoughtful, highly professional work - better than average by far. I recommend him to anyone who asks for a great photographer with a range of styles. Hope to work with him lots more in the future.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Constantly. There are numerous resources both online and in person. We budget accordingly and focus on education that brings to most value to our business and our clients.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We really specialize in great press kits for local business owners. This typically includes a couple of different head shot looks, formal and informal. Also some editorial styled images go with that. Think of an article with Inc. or Wired Magazine. That type of work. We also shoot a lot of family portraits and actor/model portfolios.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The finished product is just one part of the equation. With something so personal as photography, you have be able to connect with your photographer. Even product photography, there's a connection with the photographer that needs to be created to get what you, the client, wants out of the job. Spend the time and get to know your photographer.
