Terrible responsiveness. Took $3800 and didn't give us a design. Said he got sick in the hospital with cancer and couldn't give it to us. His live in extensive girlfriend made excuses for him all the time. I'm sorry that he's ill ( if it's true) AND if you run a business and take peoples money you have a legal obligation to deliver a service which means a back up plan in cases of sicknesses. How difficult is it to bring a laptop into the hospital press a couple of buttons and click send?? Only if fingers are broken. So he essentially didn't do the work and was leading us on all along. Very upset. He should be removed from Thumbtack.

Michael was great! Super responsive and honest. He saved us from buying a house that would have been a money pit just by being super upfront and knowledgeable. Highly recommend and would use him again for sure.

We have not yet officially chosen Arcadia Design as our General Contractor, as we are obtaining a second opinion as part of our own due diligence, but I can say that it has been a pleasure to work with Michael to date. He is very knowledgeable in his field and very professional. He has answered all of our questions and has made this process thus far, very easy. I have no doubt that if we chose him for our contracting needs, we will not be disappointed!

I have reached out to Michael on three separate occasions since the initial inquiry and he hasn't replied once. He must be awfully busy to not have the time to return my calls/email. Unfortunately 2 or my 3 contractors I dealt with on Thumbtack were crappy. Hopefully the one I've been talking with is legit. So far so good.

Many times thumb tack sends me jobs that are too small. I just do room additions.maybe thumb tack could narrow catagories
