Introduction: I am a registered NCARB certified architect with 26 years of experience in custom residential design. I am originally from Fond du Lac, WI and having graduated from the University of Wisconsin, I immigrated to Arizona in 1986 to be an apprentice architect at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. For a decade, I was an apprentice, an architect and a member of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. Today, I specialize in organic architectural design of custom homes, meaning homes that are inspired by nature. Organic architecture is the all-inclusive nature of Frank Lloyd Wright's design process. Materials, motifs and basic ordering principles continue to repeat themselves throughout the building as a whole. The idea of organic architecture refers not only to the building's literal relationship to the natural surroundings, but also how the building's design is carefully thought about as if it were a unified organism. Geometries throughout Wright's buildings build a central mood and theme. Essentially, organic architecture is also the literal design of every element of a building, from the windows to the floors, and the individual chairs intended to fill the space. Everything relates to one another, reflecting the symbiotic ordering of systems of nature. Your home should be a reflection of you and your lifestyle. Let me help you visualize that home. I listen to my clients and extrapolate a home design that incorporates their ideas and life priorities. I am happy to consult and provide design review services as well.
